This connector goes into the thunderbolt slot and works great.

Works well for it's intended purpose but is a little complicated and you could just use a normal type c cable

It does, however, allow me to use it as a charging cable. Since the cable DOES NOT support the CarPlay function, I CANNOT RECOMMEND IT! New cables that are supposed to work have been ordered!

Well Made But Not Suited For Our Needs

It was recommended as a replacement cord for an external hard drive, but did not work for that purpose. It does appear to be well made and the bonus convertor would have been very handy if it had worked for us. Unfortunately, we will be returning it.

You may need a flash drive for backup!

The transfers go quickly and are a fairly smooth process but sometimes the files do not want to copy over, giving an error code about the directory being inaccessible even when you're accessing them while signed in as Administrator on both machines. Ultimately, we got the information transferred over using a combination of this cable and traditional USB flash drives.
