Great for multiple monitors

The guy at best buy tried selling me some $90 hdmi adadpter but this does the exact same thing. I have my work laptop and 2 monitors, one with hdmi and this with usb c and display port

Used for a Vive Pro

Just what I needed

Plus it was open box so almost half price. If you having external display problems in Ubuntu… maybe drivers isn’t easiest solution… see if usb-c to display port will solve your problem.

Good cable, finicky devices

This was not straightforward plug-and-play, but took several setting changes, etc. Once both devices were set properly, the adapter worked well. Restarts seemed to work best by unplugging the cable at the monitor (display port) end, then re-connecting. This may be due to some issue with my monitor, don’t know for sure. Otherwise, there was no problem with the cable.

Beware, this is a one-way cable (USB-C to HDMI)

There’s a tag on the cable once you open the box and take it out, however. It didn’t work for my needs, but it appears to be a well made cable.
