Great Wine Cooler

This slid in to the opening perfectly. It was easy to get set up. Only item to know is the shelves heights are small and large bottles will not fit so I had to remove a couple of shelves to get those bottles to fit.

Thing works like a charm and my only reason for not giving it five stars is that it struggles to fix non-standard Bordeaux bottles. If it were only say six inches taller the racks could be a little more spaced out and this thing would be superb.

We were replacing a Kitchen Aid cooler which now costs $2500 so it was upper crust. We should have known better but we ordered this Insignia. Every review you have read about the shelves being too close together is absolutely true. Worse than the fact that almost every bottle scrapped the next shelf was the fact that the shelves only came out slightly. You can not possibly read the label on any wine that is facing backwards. There is a huge difference between the quality of this cooler, and something in the $1500 range. We never even plugged in this unit. We knew it was never going to suffice. If you want a good wine cooler, this isn't it. We took this back to Best Buy (which we don't fault for anything) the same day we purchased it. We then bought a $1500 Zephyr. What a dream. I gave this 2 stars because, what do you expect for $500? We should have known. The shelves are rickety. In fairness, the outside of the unit looks good. But you'll struggle forever with trying to get bottles in, and out. Buy it if you don't need a good quality interior. We needed more than this offered.

Great mini fridge

We got it to use in the bar for overflow supplies. We took out a few of the shelves and it can store several taller bottles like Sweet & Sour Mix, OJ, etc. The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of a door alarm so you have to be deliberate in closing it and not just sling it closed like my 20 somethings have a habit of doing.

The temp is set at 55 and I used a good temp guage to make sure of temp. It stays with in 2 degrees of set temp in middle of fridge. you can get 61 bottles in, if they are the zin type bottles. If you mix and match it cuts down by 1 to 2 bottles per rack. So far, I'm very pleased with the unit and it is quiet.
