It was a Great Choice for a Gift for someone Important.

I decided to try a different TV brand, opting for THIS one instead of my usual brand (Roku), as I had been experiencing issues with my Roku TVs burning out after just over a year of use. Unfortunately, the main power box inside was not covered under warranty and needed to be replaced both times it occurred. With the hope of avoiding further troubles, I chose THIS TV from a different brand. However, I encountered some disappointments with this new TV. The picture quality was oddly displayed when streaming high-definition content, and even with standard definition, the images appeared blotchy and strange, lacking the desired clarity. It's unclear whether the issue stems from the TV's settings or the way the cable box sends the signal to the screen. Strangely enough, after some time, these issues seemed to resolve either on their own or because I became accustomed to them. I'm not entirely sure. Around a year later, I faced another setback when I received a message on the TV notifying me that there wasn't enough internal memory to update Netflix. This was quite unexpected and frustrating. Additionally, I couldn't download the new HBO MAX app, which was quite disappointing considering my interest in accessing that content. Moreover, the TV came preloaded with numerous apps and features, including some Amazon-related ones that I wanted to remove to free up memory. Unfortunately, I discovered that it's not possible to disable or delete these internal Amazon apps, further exacerbating the issue. It seems unnecessary for the TV to have news, sports, and other app services forced upon users, limiting their freedom to choose which apps they prefer for their television viewing. As a result, I find myself in a situation where I can only have five functioning apps on my TV. If I want to watch Amazon Prime, Hulu, Netflix, Peacock, and now HBO MAX, I have to uninstall and reinstall others, which is a significant inconvenience. To put it simply, it's a hassle that I didn't anticipate, especially considering the price I paid for this TV. Unfortunately, my previous TV broke just past the warranty period. And, during a time without any sales, and now you can find a TV with similar specifications for less than $200 during sales events. It's quite disheartening.
