I'm loving one plug with 3 commonly used options. It's the go-to connection. The downside is having just one.

It seems much better well built than my previous insignia charger. I like that it can handle USB- C for laptops separate from my handheld. And there's also a traditional USB port so it's very versatile. Also low cost

It's a good compact charger. Just that mine came with a white face instead of the grey as shown. Good weight to it which makes it feel premium.

Just what I needed for an outlet that often serves as host to one or more small devices for charging. I was less interested in finding a charger with power enough to run my laptop, and more interested in a 3-port device which "would play well with others" by not occupying too much room at the outlet plate. This is a good choice, though may be too wide for outlet strips, if that is your application.

Only reason why I rated a 4/5 was because I can’t charge my iPad and phone at the same time like I thought I would be able to, otherwise no issues.

Thr usb a port doesnt function at all. The other two work somewhat fine. Im assuming mines is just defective. Ive tried plugging in multiple cables and devices and nothing would charge through the usb a port. Overall, its ok. Just make sure yours works properly when you recieve it.

Handy Fast Charger

This is exactly what I was looking for. Our house is filled with USB-C plugs, and with my three sons and my wife, we have a variety of devices that need constant charging. While about 95% of our devices now use USB-C, a couple still rely on the traditional USB-A connection, so it’s great that this adapter includes that option.
I wanted to keep this adapter on our side table in the living room. The end table already has a USB-C port, a USB-A port, and a regular power outlet, but I needed something faster than what the integrated plugs offer. This adapter powers and charges all my devices quickly. I often use my Legion Go while sitting on the couch, and this adapter keeps it charged when the battery begins to run low. I can also charge several laptops, as well as various phones, tablets, and accessories. My sons use it frequently to charge their phones in the living room.
The adapter is compact enough to fit in a bag, and I appreciate that the prongs fold back for easy transport. I've taken it on a couple of trips already, and it’s convenient to have just one adapter for all my devices. I highly recommend it!

Three Ports Are Better Than One

Since most rechargeable electronic devices are now coming with only charging/data cords and no longer include a wall charger (also called charging adapter, power adapter, charging block, charger plug, charger cube, etc), at some point most people will need or want to purchase one or more of these power sources.
The Insignia™️ 65 Watt Compact Wall Charger fits the bill perfectly if you have multiple devices such as a, laptop, tablet, cell phone, smart watch, or ear buds, and often need to charge more than one at the same time. Out of these, the laptop is the one most likely to still come with a wall charger standard from the manufacturer. But, this Insignia 65 watt charger has the power to even satisfy most laptops in a pinch, or when you have a leisurely recharge window.
I tested this charger with my 2021 MacBook Pro and iPhone 16 Pro. First, I ran my iPhone down until it quit. I attached it to the Insignia charger using the USB-C to USB-C cable that came with the phone. The phone recovered to 50% charged in less than 30 minutes and reached a full 100% in just slightly over 100 minutes. Note that these charging times are dictated by the device being charged (the phone) and not the charger, and this is predetermined by the device to protect the battery and keep it from becoming overcharged or overheated by being charged too fast. During this time, the charger was supplying 24 to 25 watts to the phone based on the meter I used to monitor the charger’s output. From what I can find on the internet, this is the expected wattage that a new iPhone can accept from a charger. Since iPhones no longer come with a wall charger, only a cord, I have no OEM benchmark to compare to, and give you this data point for information rather than a comparison.
My laptop is another story though as it comes with a Apple branded charger labeled as a 96 watt charger. During my testing, the OEM charger would supply 94 watts to the MacBook according to the internal data supplied by the laptop. I hooked up the Insignia charger to the Mac using the MagSafe cable that came with the laptop. I found the 65 watt Insignia would output about 64 watts to the laptop. This was the same wattage when I used the USB-C to USB-C cable from my phone between the laptop’s OEM charger and the appropriate port on the laptop. If I used any cable with a USB-A plug on it to plug into the Insignia charger, the output wattage was limited to 8 watts. This is due to the limitations of the cable and not the Insignia charger which should be able to provide 12 watts of power at its USB-A port based on the 5 volts and 2.4 amps of output (wattage is equal to volts times amps). I tried a half dozen cables with a USB-A connector plugged into the wall charger and a variety of plugs on the other end, and they all would output only 8 watts, so please be aware of this limitation with the USB cable standards and don’t blame the charger for less than claimed output. Cables DO make a difference when it comes to charging. However, 8 watts should be more than enough to charge small devices like ear buds or smart watches. I ran the MacBook down to a 2% remaining battery life and the Insignia charger brought it back to 48% in 30 minutes, and 100% in 2 hours and 9 minutes.
The Insignia™️ 65 Watt Wall Charger (model NS-MW3165C2A1B24) is a GaN (Gallium Nitride technology) charger, making it smaller and more efficient, which means the circuits transfer more energy to the device being charged and produce less waste heat. Even though this tech is more expensive to make than the older silicon based tech, this is offset by savings in other components needed to make the finished device. When you charge multiple devices, the maximum output of the charger is still 65 watts and this will be divided between the two or three connected pieces of equipment being charged, resulting in longer charging times than if they were being charged one at a time. That still makes this wall charger a win-win as you can charge three devices while taking up only one electrical outlet, leaving the other one available for other important chores like cooking dinner.

This is your standard USB 65W charger that works perfectly. There are 2 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A port, all share the total power. The unit is small although probably slightly larger than other competitive ones. But it is still small enough to easily carry around. The input prongs fold into the unit with a very strong click to keep it in either position. It is well built and feels and looks very high quality.
As mentioned, there are three USB outputs. The two USB-C connections are labeled, one says 65W PD and the other computer. Not sure of the difference or why they are labeled as they both seem to perform the same, although the instructions included say to use the computer port when charging multiple devices. I was able to charge from almost empty to full my Pixel phone in around 1.5 hours, my Google watch in an hour, and my ASUS Vivobook Intel Ultra 5 laptop in around an hour. One thing that is great about this is that I had another 65W USB charger but when connected to my laptop, it says it didn’t have enough power. When I connected it to this charger, I got no message like that so this definitely a better choice between the two. I have also had problems with charging some devices with my other charger but not with this one. Everything worked. Connecting two devices at once works as well although you are sharing the power between them.
This will become my USB charger of choice that I now use for everything, mainly because it charges everything and rapidly, not like my other charger. It also fits easily in my backpack. There really isn’t anything I can say negative about it, so if you are looking for a charger like this, then this is the way to go.

Compact charger that can handle multiple devices

I have used this charger with a 17" Chromebook, 11" iPad Pro, Motorola G-Power Phone, and iPhone 13 with great results.
My iPad Pro is really particular about what chargers it will work with. The iPad recognized this charger right away and was charged to 100% from being completely dead in less than 2hrs via one of the USB-C ports.
It charged my Chromebook from 15% to 100% in use in a little over 2hrs with no issues and only got slightly warm to the touch.
The multiple ports also allow me to charge both my phones at once. My Motorola recognizes it as a TurboPower (fastest) charging capable charger when connected via USB-C and a rapid charger when using the USB-A port.
I also appreciate that it is fairly compact with foldable prongs and smooth exterior. Making it easy to slip into a bag or backpack.
The compact size easily allows you to use the second outlet on a standard outlet but is a tight fit on the power strip I tried (taking up 2-3 slots depending on spacing). Despite the compact size the USB port spacing is good, allowing you to use fairly thick ends without issue (this is important, because you want to use a thick USB-C cord that is rated to handle 65w when using this with a laptop or other high-power device).
