I haven't had it long enough to see the energy impact of it, but it will more than pay for itself in the long run by being able to buy foods like cheese in bulk and storing it. My only complaint is the frost that forms around the top near the door, but that is normal for most freezers. Not a major complaint.

Great little freezer

great motor home freezer for trips

I gave it a fair rating bc that's how I felt the quality and energy efficiency of this freezer is. You do get what you pay for. After a few days indoors, and not opening the freezer, my temps were not zero or below (i had to turn the freezer to coldest setting to achieve 0 to -5) and there was frost around the top ring of the freezer where the seal is. Manual defrosting will be a frequent process. Cosmetics are decent and it does come with a small basket. There is no lock and you'll need to buy a thermometer to ensure proper temps.
