Great Freezer for Minimal Spaces. Price is a bonus
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the 5 Cubic Foot freezer to start with and when I got it home I decided to take it back and swap to the 7 Cu Ft. one. This thing is a bargain. More room than you think. Easy to stack stuff and the basket is a lifesaver for things like hotdogs, bacon, sausage, etc. The same size that was almost identical of the name brands was $235 to $299 the day we bought this. It was on sale for $199 the day before and then when I got there, the price had dropped to $179. It was a no brainer. I would recommend this to anyone who asked. In reality only a few companies make their own brand of TV's, freezers, refrigerators and other home appliances. There are 3-4 generic manufacturers that companies just slap a logo on with a small design change. They are made the same. They are the same product. Most of the name brand stuff is not made by the name brand anymore. You are paying for the name. May as well buy the Insignia version of these appliances as they are as good or better than most higher priced versions.

Small footprint for a decent size freezer
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had large chest freezers in the past and found that they had to be filled - with food or gallons of water turned to ice - to operate efficiently. At 7.0 cu. ft., this freezer is efficient with less. It holds more than enough for our 2-person household but it's not so large that you have to dig through it to find an item. Super lightweight, too. Very easy for one person to maneuver (when empty).

Freezes fast
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fit perfectly in my garage and holds more than this 2 person household needs but one of us is a hunter and we needed to store our food after the successful hunting trip. To fill it up and keep it from working harder than it needs to I do keep gallons of water frozen in there, which is great in the AZ summer having that frozen gallon of water at the ready for our day trips to the lake.

Great size, overall perfect for a family of 5!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were on the search for a freezer to accommodate our 5 person family because our old one went out. We are constantly on the go with little time to grocery shop, so we buy in bulk and use our freezer a lot. This one was the perfect size to put in our laundry room, save space but double as a folding table and hold all of our frozen items. Service in the store was great as well as the price. Definitely worth every penny and Best Buy has always backed their products.

Affordable/Quality Chest Freezer - 2 Year Review
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this chest freezer for $179.99 in September 2018 and it was a fair price for what I received. This freezer has been running every single day since I bought it. There is a basket at the top for quick access items that comes in handy. All chest freezers are deep and this one is no exception. Plenty of room to store HUNDREDS of pounds of items. At its fullest it had 3 butchered deer, 25+ lbs of flour, 2 bags of ice, about 1/8 of a cow and some assorted left-overs. There was still some room for more as well! I HIGHLY recommend that you use a small "locker size" white board to keep track of what items are in your freezer. This way items don't get lost in the bottom and get freezer burned. I have also found that the more contents you store in the freezer, the more efficient it is and the more money you save in utilities. It also helps to prevent ice from building up on the sides! I should mention that I have NOT needed to defrost the freezer at all. My final point to make is that your should try and calculate what items you expect to store and get a size chest freezer that is right for you. Hopefully you found this information useful!

Great little freezer
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far this has been a great little freezer....I bought it for my vending building where I do several events a year....I does a great job of keeping everying frozen....is light weight enough to move easily when empty and doesn't take up a ton of space. I'd recommend it to people who want a decent and reasonably priced freezer.

Nice deep freezer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I been wanting a good deep freezer for years but was very specific about having the bucket type instead of the stand up type ! I was very happy when I saw this on sale from Best Buy and the size of it will grow with my needs. It has no bells or whistles but it freezes, is quite, and has ample space and doesn’t use a lot of electricity! What more do you need!

Good appliance for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A good little freezer for the price. Was easy to buy and in stock as needed it immediately. Easy to unload and move about. Remember to let a freezer sit upright for two hours before plugging it in. This is so the coolant can return to its original state, if the freezer has been on its side or stored up side down in transit.

Great Chest Freezer for Small Families!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had the freezer for about two months now, and so far so good. The temperature control is nice to have. And we love the size! It's perfect for a small family that doesn't want to have so much freezer space that things will get buried and never resurface! (However, the manufacturer packaged it in such a way that the seal got bent on one of the corners. We straightened it out with tape, but it still forms a small amount of ice in that corner from the moisture that gets in.)

Works well, and very compact
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read reviews of multiple freezers before I bought this one. I also had a limited amount of space to put the new appliance. I was not sure if this size was enough, but I took a shot and bought it. I am completely happy with the product at this time. I works well, it is quite compact in size for the amount of food that it holds. The top is quite secure, and raises easily. The body is not so tall that I cannot reach to the bottom, and that is a big plus. It is quiet, seems very efficient, and frosts up much less than I thought it would. I really like this 7 CF model, and I recommend it.

Good product/priced right
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The freezer works well, is compact (fits in back of Toyota Highlander), and can be handled by one reasonably strong person. I needed space for 2 quartered whitetail deer, and this freezer had plenty of room. A 5 cubic foot freezer would have sufficed, but I'm happy with the larger size. The Insignia price was better than other brands. It's simple and effective.

Solid unit, good capacity, doesn't frost, quiet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this to replace a much bigger full size freezer that crapped out. The unit is much quieter, efficient, and has pretty decent capacity. And after almost 3 months of usage, no frosting or condensation anywhere. Food stays ice-cold. This was a good replacement freezer that took up less space in the garage.

Does what it is supposed to
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yeah it’s a good sized freezer. Nice and deep. Stays cold. I did find that once or twice the lid when it closed somehow made a pretty strong vacuum seal so that my wife thought I had “locked” the freezer. I had to get a putty knife to slip under the rubber gasket to break the seal and allow the lid to open back up

Great price for a great freezer!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had our freezer for about a month, and so far it's been great! It's the perfect size for a family of 5 to keep extra meat, fruit/veggies and our favorite Trader Joe's frozen foods. I bought some powder-coated metal baskets from Target to help organize things into different categories, because it's a hassle to dig through a full, deep freezer. I've also found the lid to be quite enthusiastic when springing open, so you do need the freezer to be about 1/3 full to prevent the whole thing from lifting off the ground when the door is lifted. The instructions also recommend 2 inches of clearance around all sides of the unit, so you should account for that when measuring and deciding on placement.

Nice little freezer for a carport
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great little freezer if you need a little more space but don't have a lot of room. Only two of the legs are adjustable so you do need a relatively level surface (at least on one plane). The removable basket seems a little small so there is a pretty fair amount of wasted space if you don't want to dig through whats in it but I just put some stackable baskets inside to resolve that. Overall great for the price, does its job without any bells and whistles.

Great Freezer, Pretty Efficient!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This freezer is an amazing size for storing extra meat & food. We have it in our basement, where it seemed to very quickly reach freezing temperatures. I had a thermometer in it that showed -10 degrees F. That was just with the setting at about 3/4 of the max. I have since dropped it to right in the middle, and it's held its temps great. I have a smart outlet on it that also monitors energy usage. For a 24-hour period, I see it taking up 0.58 kWh. I'd say it's at that utilization most days, with some dips below 0.56 kWh. So to better quantify this for those that care, my energy rate is currently. $0.072 / kWh. At 0.58 kWh for 30-days, my added electric usage amounts to about an added $1.25 for the month.

Chest Freezer
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my Chest Freezer. When I was looking to purchase, I wanted one bigger than the one that I had and found what I was looking for at Best Buy. It is quiet, spacious and fits perfectly in my kitchen.

So far, so good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alright, we've had it for about a month now, and I have to say I'm pretty pleased with it. I initially was interested because I saw good reviews, and a lot of them, but I am also familiar with the Insignia brand, so that just made me feel a little better when I convinced my grandmother this was the best choice to replace her upright deep freeze that was possibly as old as me (I am not young, okay). The only thing I don't like about it (barring my snobby "I prefer upright" attitude) is that it only comes with one basket that sits in it. I did find a way to order more, but still am I little put out at the unexpected expense. It did get cold very quickly, and I am able to maintain a satisfying chill at about 50% power. I live in Tampa, FL and it is kept in a garage to give you some idea of temperatures it is working against.

Love it
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this thing. It has brought such peace of mind during the pandemic and has kept its temp through a couple short power outrages. Its silent btw and not to big to get food out of (I'm short lol).
