    It looks like this was dropped at Best Buy. Got it home, took the packaging off only to find this brand new freezer incredibly beat up. I saw that a few other reviews had this issue as well so this doesn’t seem to be an isolated incident..

    If you're looking to save money and get functionality to freeze extra food, this freezer works. I gave it a fair rating bc that's how I felt the quality and energy efficiency of this freezer is. You do get what you pay for. After a few days indoors, and not opening the freezer, my temps were not zero or below (i had to turn the freezer to coldest setting to achieve 0 to -5) and there was frost around the top ring of the freezer where the seal is. Manual defrosting will be a frequent process. Cosmetics are decent and it does come with a small basket. There is no lock and you'll need to buy a thermometer to ensure proper temps.

    Damaged Lid

    I've only had the freezer setup for a few days now, so this isn't a review of how it works. I'm giving it 3 stars at the moment due to damage to the lid. I don't know whether it will have any impact on the performance of the freezer, but it's too much of a pain to return it to the store and pickup another one. Just putting it up here for now so there's a record of it. I'll update later on the performance. Cyber week price was great though. If it weren't for the damage, and it works as advertised, this would be 5 stars.

    Top Hinge Bent

    Received my online order pickup and kept it in the package until my 1/2 cow was ready. Went to go set it up and discovered that the top hinge is bent causing the top to be misaligned. Unfortunately for me I am no longer an elite plus member and my return timeline ran out. I guess it is my fault for not opening it up all the way to inspect.

    I liked the space and it did a great job keeping my food frozen. However less than a year after purchase, it just stopped working. No warning!

    price and delivery were very good. freezer itself is underpowered(?) we let the delivery guys roll it in, set it up, and plug it in. we waited until morning to fill it with bottles of water. first, 2/3 full. half the bottles were still liquid the next morning. we tried 3/4, 1/2, 1/3................still, never more than half the items are frozen the next day. this has gone on since july 12th, when it was delivered. it's now aug. 10th, so we have a 7.1 size with a 2.0 ability. i wanted to like it as i've bought your brand before and it's always been great quality. not with this freezer.

    Freezer works fine, but the power light flickered and then quit working after about 2 months of use. The freezer is under warranty still. However, I have to empty it out, find a place for the stuff inside for who knows how long, borrow a truck and bring the freezer into the store to get service. That's pretty ridiculous. It would be nice to have a light to tell me the freezer is powered on and working, but it might as well not have a warranty considering how much hassle it is to use. If anyone cares Haier actually makes this Best Buy Insignia branded freezer.

    Works great. Quiet, door takes a little getting use to . It springs open quickly. Very disappointed with the large dents. Both sides. I should have made them take it out the box before I took it home.

    The freezer is functional and delivery service was very good. I did not realize that this freezer is not “frost free”. I assumed all freezers in this day and age are “frost free”. Big mistake on my part!!! No one mentioned this to me at the store when I bought it. Buyer beware!

    This freezer takes forever to get to freezing. Has ice lining the nside..seems like the seal is not well installed. Hopefully it doesn't break down before the year is up. Buy a Hisense for sure!

    Didn't even last a year!

    The freezer worked fine for 9 months then died. While we knew when we purchased it that were were not buying top of the line, that was fine as we just needed a basic freezer. Size was great, no frills but, served its purpose however, I expected it to last at least a year.
