This is a perfect size ( inside + out) to fit anywhere! Its cute retro design is appealing, along with the mint green for that pop of color!

It's a very cute and tiny microwave that you would expect to be only 700 watts. That's exactly what I expected. However, the buttons are not very intuitive. To set the timer, you have to turn left and it starts from 95 minutes. This is confusing because there is a button that literally says timer/clock on it. Very cute nostalgic design, but it's not ergonomically the best.

The retro style, color and performance is awesome. Compact microwave but enough for a small kitchen.Does its job and looks great. Excellent purchase.

I love this little microwave--it's small and perfect for my small kitchen and has a nice look to it. Power is okay for my purposes of reheating food. For someone interested in stronger power I'd advise getting a bigger microwave.

The microwave is the perfect size for my small apartment kitchen. Heats perfectly and the color fits my retro off-white theme. However, the controls do take a minute to adjust to. To me, the dial is a little counter-intuitive. Instead of turning right to increase the cook time, like you would with any timer, you have to turn left first to start time cook, then turn right to reach the smaller minute increments that are most often used. My other complaint is with the timer. I have accidentally changed the time on the clock while attempting to access the timer multiple times because of the order in which the button operates. In my opinion, it should have been press the button once for the timer because it is more often used and twice to change the clock, instead of the other way. Other than those two controls I think it’s a great microwave over all

Purchased this along with matching mini-fridge for dorm room. Everyone loves the retro look, works well, fits dorm spec requirements, no complaints.

Love it! Fits well in my home office. The safety feature on the door took some getting used to and how to turn the dial to set the cook time. But other than that I love it!

It's great-looking and very simple to operate. I don't have a lot of counter space, and this is a great fit. The color is a plus, too. If I had to do it again I'd repurchase this.

I purchased this about a month ago looking for a smaller microwave and some color to my kitchen vs stainless and black. Looks great, nice compact size, solid. Controls are different so you will need to read instructions. I tend to just hit the 30 second button as a shortcut. Happy with purchase.

I've gained a lot of appreciation for Insignia products since I've been giving them a try over other well-known brands. Most of the time, the quality is on par with those other brands, but usually offered at a much lower cost. This Insignia .7 Cu. Ft. Retro Compact Microwave in Mint Green is no exception. Right out of the box, I was really pleased. Solidly built, stylishly retro, with easy to understand controls. The color even comes close to matching my mint green blender. I really like the control knob which you can turn to adjust the power level or chose a cooking pre-set. And the 'pull trigger' mechanism to open the door handle is kinda cool. There's also a handy Auto Menus sticker right there when you open the door. Because this compact microwave is only 700w, compared to the 1000w of my full-sized built-in microwave, cooking times will need to be adjusted accordingly. Keep that in mind when considering this appliance. While the exterior of the microwave is entirely made of metal (except for the door and control panel), I didn't notice the surface on any of the sides getting particularly "hot," merely a little warm to the touch, as expected. I'd not store anything meltable like chocolate on top, though. This Insignia .7 Cu. Ft. Retro Compact Microwave is well made and works great. I love mine, and can totally recommend. It is a good size for smaller kitchens, dorms, RVs, or just as a replacement microwave; especially if you're a fan of that 'retro look.'

Super cute microwave! I think it takes a bit longer to get food hot, but I don’t mind at all. It’s a bit smaller than my old one so it’s nice if you have limited space.

This is a stylish, retro compact microwave that is perfect for someone that does not have a ton of free space in their home or someone just looking for a retro style look. It works really well and warms up and cooks food just as it states. There are preset programmed modes that you can utilize while in standby mode. A-1 would be the preset mode for popcorn. I suggest either printing a cheat sheet and keeping it by your microwave or keeping the handbook nearby. Once you click on the mode you want to use, turn the knob to add the weight and start to begin cooking. For a compact microwave, you can do a lot with it even with just a few buttons. You can adjust the power level and readjust it while your meal is cooking if you decide that you want to increase/decrease the power. Same goes with the amount of time for cooking, you can add 5 seconds if the timer is set for 1 minute or less. If it is 1-5 minutes, you can increase by 10 seconds and so on. Based on how long your meal is cooking or reheating is the amount you can increase it by. So you don't have to stop it completely, you can add a little bit at a time. You can also lock the microwave by holding the stop/cancel/power saving button for 3 seconds and the same button for 3 seconds to unlock it. Pretty easy, nice looking microwave that I would def recommend.
