I purchased this after realizing my newly purchased Apple MacBook Air did not have any USB ports or an SD card port. I do a lot of recreational photography from my drone and digital camera and needed a convenient and quick way to transfer videos and photos to my MacBook Air. This does the job effectively and is very compact allowing you to throw it in a computer bag, backpack, etc. I have not compared this to other brands but the transfer speed is quick and seems to be a well made product after having it for over a year. Good solution if you need extra ports or need the ability to connect traditional USB cables and devices to your Apple products

I needed this gadget to connect a cordless mouse and external keyboard to my MacBook Pro. It leaves one port open on the MacBook for the charging cable. It works well, even when I have the MacBook on a riser.

Has all the ports I want and isn’t too unwieldy. Only Negative is on my Mac I have to power it and then the Mac through it in order to get HDMI to work. Not a big deal but I don’t like cord tangles. I’ve used it on both Mac and iPad Pro.

I needed the new MacBook Pro for school and was really disappointed that I had four USB C ports. As an art student, I needed a USB type A port for my Wacom tablet, so I was looking at various adapter options while they were trying to find my online order (another thing altogether). I knew the Insignia brand, and for $70 I also got HDMI, SD and Micro SD, two USB A ports, an Ethernet connection, and even a USB C to replace the one it takes up (not that I’ve ever needed to use it, thanks Apple). I have tested every port on mine and they all work exactly as advertised. The only thing I would’ve changed was the price. The cable coming out of the adapter block is also super sturdy and well reinforced so that makes the dent in my wallet a bit smaller. All in all, I completely recommend this if you wanna spend money on one thing versus seven apple adapters priced at $10-$50 each. It’s a great product.

I use this for both my late 2016 Macbook Pro and my work laptop (Asus Windows 10 Laptop). My work laptop does have a USB-C port but it is not lightening. Therefore this Type-C hub does work great but can be overloaded on this laptop. For example, I use this to run an external 4k monitor and a mouse. If I also hookup my keyboard, there is lag between all three since I am overloading the data bus. For the Macbook Pro which does utilize lightening connection with its USB-C port, this hub is fantastic. I can connect a mouse, keyboard, ethernet (with an adapter), 4k monitor, and power connection all through this hub and it works perfectly. So the hub works great and I do highly recommend. Just make sure your USB-C port can handle all you're going to connect to it through this with your laptop, since not all USB-C ports are created equal!

I love that I can use this adapter without having to remove my MacBook case, unlike the first multi-port adapter I tried. It works very well and I’ve been very happy with it.

Especially while traveling, or even in my own office, I need access to power, network, and video. While in the office, I have a bigger docking station with a power brick for keeping the laptop charged. However, while in meetings, you really need something like this to provide all the necessary ports, especially for laptops that only have the USB-C ports to work with. This unit provides the normal network, but also returns access to memory cards to those of us who lost the slot. Plus, it's very light and compact so traveling with it is not an issue.

Provided extra ports to my laptop plus a slot for my camera card. Very handy, Works as described and doesn't take up much space in my bag or desk space. .

Handy and small, works with my Lenovo Yoga C940 to drive a Dell monitor, read USB and MicrosSD cards. Good as a travel companion if you might need USB, HDMI and USB C connectivity.

This little guy is a life saver for computers short on usb, video, ethernet, and card readers... It has worked flawless for me... also... doesn't seem to heat as much as another brand I have...

I purchased the 7-port type C Hub to complement my surface go. It is small and compact. Due to the size of the surface pro (10"), it is limited on the number of ports. Now I have all the ports I need.

More inexpensive option than the Apple Branded unit. Needed this to allow for connectivity for the new MacBooks since the one we purchased had only USB-C connections.

Purchased this product for our new iMac. I like that it has a card reader and USB ports. Works great for the price!

Works well and user friendly. We like the different ports including SD slots. The main reason we got it was to use the Ethernet and not always rely on WiFi No problems!

Does exactly what I needed for use with my Lenovo Yoga 910. More ports! No hassles! Only issue is I wish the cord was a bit longer, say 10 inches. Very happy overall.
