    I have had this Insignia hub now for 9 months. I have had ZERO problems with it. It is very reliable and connects everytime, with no unexpected disconnects. I have no issue running an USB hard drive off of it as well as USB 2.0 or 3.0 devices off of it. USB 3.0 devices fall back automatically to the USB 2.o specifications and work reliably.

    This was the perfect solution for my Surface setup. My Surface only has one USB port and I use multiple peripherals. This powered USB hub runs my Brother portable scanner, Canon Printer, Pen Drive, WD Passport, Mouse and Keyboard. Must use power to run the External WD drive. I really did not notice a difference in transfer rate from my previous USB 3.0 4-Port hub and this hub. I 100% recommend this hub!

    When a person is traveling with multiple devices to charge, this handy USB hub is ideal! It allows the traveler to charge up to 7 items or to plug that many into a computer/laptop so that they can access them. I found that it is most helpful with charging due to uncertain power ports in hotel rooms. This item is perfect for the traveling techie. I highly suggest it!
