Nice, compact hub with power for 7 USB-A devices so I can add a bunch of gadgets.

Bought this for my husband so he could create his own charging station. He is able to charge his fitbit.m, ipad, iphone, wireless beat pros, his gopro batteries, his running headlamp and so much more without taking up so much space with a giant plug in the wall. I am thinking of getting a second one for my office space so i can do the same. Worth the money!

Its a USB hub; its fast enough, its small enough, and gosh darn it, people like it.

The Insignia 7 port USB hub requires very little desk space, and it is "plug and play". It uses one USB port, and gives you seven, for a net gain of six. The AC power adapter cord could be longer, but I was able to position the hub for easy access to the ports. No more craning to see the ports on the back of my desktop tower.

I purchased my first Insignia 7 port USB hub to go with my new Lenovo Yoga 2 - 1. It worked so well I purchased a second one to use in my office with my Dell Studio 17. I also recently took it on a long weekend break to the beach and used it to charge cell phones and health tracking tools I use. It certainly freed up USB ports on my computers and added the nice surprise for charging on our trip.

This is an ok USB port. Its great that it has lots of ports and its very light weight. Not very big either. But feels flimsy. It wont read when I have my iPhone cable plugged into it. Old or new cable. That has to be plugged in directly to my computer. Also this doesn't work with my portable hard drive very well. Which can be problematic for PC's that have limited USB ports. Ok for things not used all the time that you want to leave plugged in (printer, drawing tablet, etc)

I mean, this is a USB hub. There is very little glamorous about that. However, this unit is nice. It seems well made, and looks good doing it. It is not flashy, and sits, unassumingly, on my desk. The wall wart power supply seems to be well suited for the job, and the connection sockets are solid and connections are crisp. If you need a 7 port hub, this will do the job nicely.

Works well for me - compact so it is out of the way

Since recent PCs don't have as many USB ports largely due to Bluetooth technology, an item like this is essential for those of us who still have old school hardware. Note: it may be more practical to get one of these with 3.0 hubs in order to ensure no lags between your hardware and PC. I bought this for the price. Insignia is typically a reliable bargain brand.
