Very well built, but limited by power

Charging cables is now a commodity product - most of them look and work the same for all intents and purposes. But for travel, I prefer to use something that’s reliable and solidly built, which won’t die suddenly when I need it the most.
Insignia’s USB-C braided charging cable hits all the mark - it’s very well built, the cable braiding looks well done and doesn’t feel it’ll disintegrate when pushed hard, and the connectors themselves are single solid pieces (instead of 2 pieces crimped together like the cheapo ones have). The cherry on top is that one side is right-angled, which is something that I believe a lot of people do not understand - it makes everyday life so much easier, especially when used in a car. The length (7’) is perfect for my travels - not too short to stretch it to reach an outlet, while not too long to create a tangled mess.
Now for negatives I observed - the power rating was nowhere to be found on the cable or the packaging. After digging through the websites, I found that it’s a 65 W rated cable. This is good for most mobile applications, but limits it’s usage for me to charge my laptop. This is compounded by the fact that the cable is not the cheapest out there. So it creates a dilemma, get a similarly priced (or even cheaper) 100 W cable with questionable longevity, or get this one with some power limitation, but having better reliability.

This is a great usb-c to usb-c cable. The distinguishing feature of this particular model is the right angle bend on one end of the connector. This works really nicely for my phone and my tablet, which both have charging ports on the bottom of the units. Using this cable makes it much less obtrusive to charge while still using the device, especially if one is propping it up on a surface. It’s especially useful for my tablet, which I’m often resting on my lap, or a lap desk, or propping up on some surface while working. Reading/working on the tablet in bed while charging is made much easier with this cord.
The connections itself is very tight! The cord is easy to plug in, but it stays plugged in extremely tightly. That’s great, as your assured a good connection. Be warned though that tugging on the cord will not unplug it—so it might be easier to accidentally whip a device off a counter or table if somebody runs into the cord while the device is charging. It takes a little force to pull the cord out. Because of the bend in the cord, one needs to really be precise about grabbing the cord at the connection point and pulling straight out.
I used this cord with a 20W charging block and got a nice fast charge for my devices. The estimated time to full charge was also pretty close—and in fact, the device charged faster than the initial estimate (which the device itself made). This is more the result of the charging block than the cord, but a cord can make a difference.
The braided cord is really nice—it is heavy duty but also has a pleasant feel and appearance. I think it will last better, especially at the bend, than conventional rubber cords. There is also an attached cord-keeper on the unit, so you can keep it neat when not in use without much effort.
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We are thrilled to hear that the USB-C to USB-C cable with the right-angle bend is working well for your phone and tablet. It's great to know that the design makes it convenient to use while charging, especially in various positions. We appreciate your insights on the tight connection and the benefits of the braided cord. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we are glad to hear that the cable is meeting your needs. The USB-C is such a versatile plug and having this right-angle cable is just perfect for when you're using your phone while charging or when you're using it for any other purposes. The braided cable feels very versatile as well. The 7 feet length is a good length and it looks great too. The white color fits the Apple aesthetic quite nicely for my Apple devices but the white cable works for any devices that have a USB-C.
I find that I can use this cable for data transfers too. I can't completely verify the speeds, but it doesn't seem that much slower than any other USB-C cable that I use. I don't think it's too bad to use for data transfers and whatnot. Charging speed is usually on the charger itself and the device, not the cable.
Overall, this USB-C cable is working very well and is very premium. It comes with a cable tie as well that doesn't feel cheap either. It's a good purchase if you need another USB-C cable and you don't want to buy OEM or if you just want an extra cable lying around.
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We are delighted to hear that you find the right-angle USB-C cable versatile and perfect for various uses, including charging and data transfers. It's great to know that the braided design and 7-foot length meet your needs, and that the white color complements your Apple devices. Your satisfaction with the cable's performance and premium feel is important to us, and we appreciate your recommendation.

This cable is just what it needs to be and, conveniently, just what it's advertised to be. There's are no surprises, there are no disappointments, and there aren't really any bells and whistles (other than the 90 degree angle plug on one end). The packaging is simple and minimalist.
That angle plug makes it much easier to route the cable from the charge port without having it stick out awkwardly.
The cable is flexible, the plugs on either end feel durable and well constructed, and just flexible enough to bend without seeming like they'll break.
I've used this to charge several devices and note that my phone says "charging rapidly," which I've found isn't possible with lower quality cables.
I've also used the cable to exchange data and connect my phone to my car's system, all without errors or delays.
Overall, this seems like a great cable that does exactly what it's expected to do for a reasonable price. I'm happy with it and would feel comfortable recommending it to someone else.

Solid reinvention of the wheel

The Insignia 7' USB-C to Right-Angle USB-C Braided Charging Cable is a reasonably priced option for right angle style charging cables. I am a big fan of the Insignia product line, basically one of the house brands for Best Buy. They have a knack for creating affordable options for consumers, and to be honest they are the first option I look for when I am at Best Buy. This cable did not disappoint, and I will tell you why you should pick it over the standard USB C option cable.
Out of the box, I love the feel of the braided cable and it feels well made. The location where the heads attach to the cable itself are sealed well and offer good flexibility at the joint. It is seven feet long, which is more than enough to use it for whatever you need it for, whether that means plugging it into the outlet behind the nightstand or using it on the go. It also has a tie that secures it when you want to secure some of the slack.
Obviously, I chose this for the right-angled head on one side. From time to time I like to play mobile games when I am either wasting time or want the escape. It is annoying to plug in your phone and have the cable protrude between your fingers as you grip it from both sides when it is horizontal. I usually prefer to hold the cable side in my right hand and the cable sticks out between my index and middle fingers. It is annoying, but you just accept it because there was no other option. Now with this angled cable, it is flatter and I don't have to adjust my grip as much.
Even better than that? Say you want to plug in your cable into the wall outlet. Whenever you use your adapter plug, it sticks out considerably and if you move your nightstand closer to the wall it presses against the cable. Over time it damages the joint on the cable, and it eventually stops working. Not a HUGE issue, and sometimes it never becomes an issue. But if you place the right-angle side in the adapter, it doesn't stick out as far and if it does press against the cable, it is not damaging the joint on the cable.
At the end of the day, if you need a new USB C cable, this is a solid option anyone willing to make the investment. Yes, this style cable is a little more expensive than those that do not have a right-angled head, but that is why I used the term investment. I highly recommend it to anyone that needs a quality cable with enough length to do whatever you need with it. And just so you are aware, I think it comes in a longer length if this is not enough for you. I will definitely be getting more of these.

Almost What my Ally Needed

I picked this up to use with my ROG Ally, to have the power cable more out of the way instead of sticking straight out. It's a bit thinner in thickness compared to my 7' Insignia braided 100w USB-C power-&-data cable, which actually helps it be less stiff as well.
The cable worked fine enough, but what I did notice was that, when I used my older, thicker USB-C cable, my ROG Ally could activate the Turbo, 30-w mode. However, when I used this cable, the most it would activate was the Turbo 25-w mode, which is the same as it plays when it's unplugged, so no real performance improvement there.
I ended up swapping back to my old cable, simply because there are times when I want to run my Ally at full power, for games like Elden Ring, or emulation. It's not a bad cable though, I ended up using it at my desk, to charge my MacBook. The right-angle aspect of the cable makes it nice and clean at my desk.
I'm happy with the cable overall, it's your basic, UBS-C situation here. I just wished it was able to power my ROG Ally in full 30-w turbo mode, then it would've been a no-brainer.

This is a cord for recharging things that need recharging, like your phone, tablet, and probably a dozen other things that need charging nowadays. In my house, my mouse needs periodic charging, as does my Bluetooth speaker, my little book light that clips to my paperback book when I read it at night, and probably five or six other things that are not coming to mind right now. So I can never have too many charging cords, which, of course, assumes I also have enough power adapters to plug them into, but that’s a story for another time.
This charging cord is a top-end design. It is USB-C at both ends. Rather than a simple plastic sheath, the outer covering is some kind of woven material, attractive in design, and dark in color. This kind of covering makes the cord stiffer than plastic-covered ones, which may or may not be a good thing for you. I don’t find it to be an issue.
This cord’s real claim to fame is that the plug at one end is turned 90 degrees (L-shaped), so it can fit a little better into a socket that doesn’t have much clearance around it. I don’t run into this problem very often, but it is a nice feature should I ever do so.
I’ve been using this to charge my phone every night for about a week now, and it has worked fine. If you need a new charging cord, and who doesn’t these days, this one will work fine for you.

Sometimes it's just a matter of perspective. What do you need? Gold plated connectors and metallic plug ends with all the fancy markings promising 4kuhd 2384762348MBPS transfers etcetera, or do you just need a cable that will fit in that oddly placed charging port and get the job done?
Welp, here's your cable. Was having some issues with another right angle cable like this, nothing wrong physically that I could see with it but despite all the promise of it being a great cable the other one kept giving me a warning on my quest headset that there was water or debris or something preventing charging ever so often. If you can imagine thats pretty annoying when your trying to play an immersive VR game.
I use an external battery bank with my headset and a right angle cable with a cable tie to plugin to the headset and guide the cable back and down to my pocket where I keep that battery. So I can be dug in for 6 hours at a time without problem. and this cable is working great for that. No more issues with the headset complaining about not charging with the cable. Solid win. Clean and simple black braided cable that gets the job done.
