This de-humidifier seems to be a good value for the money. It pulls a lot of water from the air in my basement and is relatively quiet. My only complaint is that it generates a lot of heat.

Bought this as a replacement for my current model which after only 2 years was acting up. It is quiet and efficient and represents a very good value.

This Insignia Dehumidifier does the job. Easy to operate or roll around and empty the 1.6 gallon water tanks with well designed and sturdy handle. Glad I bought this Dehumidifier and Best Buy had it on sale with the deal of the day. Best Buy is number ONE in Service, Products and Shipping. I mean the Best! Computers, Electronics, Appliances, etc. THANKS BEST BUY, you really know how to treat your customers right!

Does what it is supposed to do, get the moisture out of the aire. It is relatively quiet for this type of machine. I would recommend.

I have a basement that gets very damp during the Spring and Summer months. I've been using a 50-pint that works well but had to empty way too often. I stepped up to this 70-pint and it does a great job as well with less emptying. It's not loud at all. The filter does get dirty and the indicator light tells you when you should clean it. Cleaning is simple, but you have to let it completely dry before putting it back in so there's a few hours where you won't be able to use the dehumidifier.

Got this to replace my old Insignia 35-pint Dehumidifier that lasted almost 4 years. I leave close to the coast so, the humidity here is all year round, around 70% humidity. This dehumidifier works great, keeps about 5 rooms at a nice humidity level. Highly recommended.

This dehumidifier is quiet, reliable, and easy to use. It keeps my basement dry by sucking 70 pints of water per 24 hours.

I have only had it for a couple of months. So far, it works great. It is nice and quiet. These things usually only last a year or two. We'll see how long it lasts.

We badly needed a dehumidifier and when this came up as a deal of the day it was a no brainer, so far so good..........works great and is much quieter than our old model!

We bought the unit when we found a leak in a hose bib dumping water into our basement crawl space. It ran continuously for 3 weeks where I emptied it 2-3 times a day. Once all the way evaporated out of the affected area, we decided that it looked nice enough to use in the master bathroom after morning showers to keep the summer mildew away. Plastic construction feels solid for the price and it works like a champ.

Bought this to complement my air cond and see if running a dehumidifier allows setting the air cond at higher temp and still keep the humidity low. All in all, it seems to work and the electric bill seem to have decreased a but, but being in operation only for a month, I can't be sure. As many similar units, this dehumidifier suffers from a basic flaw: the exhaust is located too close to the intake, so it ends up recirculating a decent percentage of air making it look like that when it turns on, it lowers the humidity by 5% right away, and the opposite when it turns off. I wish these units came with an attachment for a flexible hose (even not included) so you can exhaust at a decent distance from the intake (I'd like 10ft). Anyway, this is not a problem with this unit, but it's common to all units due to size. Having had mine for about a month I cannot comment on longevity; reading many reviews I id purchase mine with a 4-years plan; it was on offer, so monetarily it wasn't bad at all, even with the extended coverage.

This unit is quiet and removes a lot of water. I plumbed it to a PVC line which allows it to work pretty much all the time here in East Texas.

This thing works VERY well. The amount of moisture it grabs from the air is insane. Its easy to use and easy to dump.

Pulls a lot of water in a short time so needs frequent emptying. Quiet and atttractive.

Got this dehumidifier on sale and was super simple to set up. Unit is very quiet and works well.

This dehumidifier does an excellent job. The buckets leak when you are trying to pour them out and the water rolls down the side and is messy so I recommend emptying over a large basin or tub. I have 3 in my home and the first month on continuous my electric bill rose $125. I left them on continuous to make sure it just wasn’t from a rise in my bill and the next month the same bill. I then made them intermittent and my bill return to the cost prior to these humidifiers.

I've had this dehumidifier for 4 months now. It is by far the best portable dehumidifier I have had. It is quieter and more powerful than any other dehumidifier I have purchased (I have had 4 over the last 10 years, always 70 pint from brands like GE, Frigidaire, etc.) My thermostat reads a lower humidity level then it did with any of its predecessors. No idea about reliability yet though...
