I got this dehumidifier to take with me to southeast asia, where during the monsoon season the humidity hovers around 99 to 100 percent in the air! This little item operates on 110 volt electrical current, which I have about half the household out lets here modified to, from the standard asian practice of 220v. It removes copious amounts of airborne moisture daily. Living the surrounding atmosphere markedly dryer, which is JUSArt what it was designed to do!

Been using this unit for 1 month and it does the job for a 1200 sq ft basement. Bought it for the external drain line which is nice if you already have a sump pump. set it to 50% humidity and it's kept it there. really need (2) of these to get the moisture lower but made a dramatic improvement to the air quality since it was a breeding ground for mold and mildew beforehand.

Everyone should have dehumidifiers, especially in inherently damp areas of their home. Whenever I empty the bucket I think of where all this moisture would be if not for this product. New or old, every house should have at least one. This Insignia 70 pint unit is worth it's weight in gold. Works very well and is efficient. I bought it on a Deal of the Day sale for a great price and I didn't even need it at the time! It was the proverbial "NO BRAINER" , get one.

Such a Great Dehumidifier!!! We’ve had it over six months, once we put it in the basement humidity went down from 85% to 35% has casters makes it easy to move, so quiet, got a bucket to collect the water also a nice drain hole from the back to hook up a hose if you wanna skip emptying the bucket, we love it so so so so much, we recommend everyone to buy it!!

We bought a dehumidifier from Costco 4 years ago and it just stopped working. Looked in Best Buy and the Insignia 70 pint dehumidifier had great reviews. Brought it home for the basement and got rid of a lot of water and we use short garden hose to drain water into floor drain. It has been working and will see how long it will last.

Not much to write about - it seems to de-humidify. I have a storage area which gets pretty humid and this unit seems to reduce the humidity level appreciably. I only wish that I had a drain in this area so I did not have to empty the water bin - but not the dehumidifier's fault!

Brought home, plugged in, it has worked flawlessly and does its job without any worry. Quieter than I thought it would be and cycles on off properly based on settings. I am pleased and recommend the product, especially if you can pick one up on a price break like I was fortunate enough to do. I woul recommend this product.

Bought this as an open box return (I assume). It was shipped in a plain box (not original). No instructions. However, the unit was in great shape and have had no issues with it! Works great! Also have a 50 pint and have had no issues with that unit either. Highly recommend the Insignia dehumidifiers!

I am very pleased with my new dehumidifier. It was packed well and only took a few days to arrive to my house after my order. I plugged it in and it has worked great since I purchased it the third week of August. I am using it in my basement. It has a large area to cover but does a wonderful job.

Powerful dehumidifier. Was surprised that there was so much humidity in basement that it filled the built in tank in half a day. Feels better after installing it. It has solid build and doesn't look odd due to its color. Will have to see how it holds up in long run, but for now it is working great.

Price was great works vey efficiently works great pulls humidity right out

I was skeptical about purchasing this dehumidifier but now kick myself for not purchasing it much sooner. I live in AL which is extremely humid in the Summer. This dehumidifier removes at least 140 liters of water a day from our first floor. Our environment is much more comfortable now.

I purchased this on sale and gave it a try. It performed as advertised. It is simple to setup and works well. I used a hose to connect to this so I didn’t have to keep empting out the bucket. I use it in my basement and it kept it dry throughout the entire spring and summer.
