Seems to do a fairly good job of sucking the life out of the air as the tank fills up often. I replaced an older unit with this one and so far so good.

Reliable brand name at a great price. Have purchased other more expensive brand dehumidifiers that have failed so didn't want to invest too much in a replacement.

I bought this to complement my air conditioner unit and it seems to work nicely. The theory is that you leave the dehumidifier running to keep the humidity low and rely less on the air conditioner (which uses more electricity). You can set the temperature a couple of degrees higher and still feel comfortable if the humidity is lower. Since the dehumidifier uses less electricity than the air conditioner, it saves some money.

Purchased for our 500 sq ft basement. It was on sale and works great. Eventually we will run a hose to the drain, but now we are emptying several times a day.

Works very well. The 70 pint size is good for very damp basements. Or other large areas. Got on sale for $159.

I like the settings on the humidifier (tub full, desired humidity, timer). The water drawer is a little difficult to remove and reinstall, but certainly not worth a bad rating. Quite as well.

This item worked as hoped. Removes water at a good clip. Hi initially just dumped the water and the bucket was a little awkward but then hooked the hose to drain directly and works great

Works fine...however each time I take out the collected water I struggle putting water bucket back in. Never goes in smoothly. Always have to kick it or punch it to make it go in. Not good!

Very good dehumidifier, better than the one it replaced from a different manufacturer. It is stylish and doesn't have that square "boxy" look than many do. The controls are logical and well laid out. The back is a crosshatch pattern, which is much more stylish than the typical slits. Plus, the filter is in the back and much more convenient to take out and clean than the more usual location above the water tray in the front (where you have to remove to the tray to get to the filter). Finally, it seems to pull out moisture very quickly. So far so good...

My 6 year old SPT dehumidifier technically still works, but it started sounding like a jet engine in my basement. It was keeping me up at night, so time for a replacement. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a new unit, so tried this 70 pint Insignia for a nice price of $160. So far it's doing a great job collecting moisture and draining into my sump pit. It's not the quietest, but the volume is perfectly fine, especially in a seldom used area of the house. I like the notification feature that says when to clean the unit. After a few weeks of use, no maintenance needed yet! Fingers crossed I can get 5+ years out of it.

Working good. Quieter than others I have had in the past. Only thing I would change would be to make holding tank sturdier.

After buying another brand 30 pint that didn't do the job I was glad to find this one on sale. This one is all we needed.
