For the price and number of options, it's a great buy!

It could also be that our smart tv is kind of old.

Directions to program remote to the tv were pretty straightforward. My 5 year old presses a lot of the buttons then gets upset when he cannot change the show he’s watching. Taught him how to press the button labeled “TV” before attempting to change shows and crisis averted.

It works fine with my Roku box (standalone Roku that is wired to HDMI port on tv). Works well with my sound bar also which is Insignia brand.
