    All in all, for what it is worth...it's basically an extension cord. I probably could have purchased a regular extension cord, but those usually come in lengths that would be multiple times longer than I actually needed. This is of an appropriate length, has proper wire gage sizing, and allows me to keep my battery backup unit and computer in the room outside of my office, while running this cord into the office (via one of those wall-plate outlets meant to allow cables to run through) and power everything else in the office off of power strips.
