Typically in my studio I use a UPS power supply to run everything, but after I bought a sit/stand desk, I decided the best way to manage my cables would be to have everything plug in right under the desktop, rather than a power supply on the floor. So I wanted something lightweight that also had surge protection. I initially tried to hold it on the bottom of the desk with 3M command strips, but those didn't hold it with the added weight of the plugs, so I put a couple of screws under the desk to use the mounting holes to my advantage. The issue I ran into after doing that, however, was that the power switch is on the same side as the plug, and so in order to mount it without accidentally powering everything off, I had to turn it around, but that's more of an issue of my use case and may not be a problem for everybody. It would've been great if it came with a paper that showed where to drill the holes to screw this to a desk or wall or whatever, but I don't think I've ever gotten a power strip of any kind that did. Overall, it gets the job done and powers everything I need it to power, and in the end, that's what matters.

I'm impressed with the quality of this Insignia surge protector, especially considering it was a great deal on sale. It also has great spacing for the outlets, which makes it a lot more convenient than others with poor outlet spacing.

I like that surge protectors are coming with USB outlets. I was able to string a few 6 foot USB cords through my TV Cabinet to charge phones and PS5 controllers. Otherwise, a fairly standard surge protector that does exactly what it should.

I love the curbside pickup option at Best Buy. I purchased online and went to the store, parked and my item was brought to my car. Very convenient. I needed a surge protector as I purchased a new recliner with some electric features. I wanted to combine some other plugs all in one place. My floors are a dark color so the black surge protector made sense. The outlets are spaced out so no worries about plugs being too large. The price was affordable and it met my needs.

Has been wonderful! Our building was hit by lightning. I lost an go office printer and our router for our internet. The only 2 things not plugged into one of these. We like 10 of them in our office.

If you're using power strips, you need to upgrade to surge protectors. They do completely different things. Having a surge protector gives you piece of mind since it'll protect the devices from a short.

For the time it was a good purchase, and if you're not limited on space it still isnt too bad. However its large and bulky for the amount of plugs it has and if you're using it for something like a desk setup it can be difficult to cable manage around. It has done its job however through multiple storms, power outages and emergency shutoffs at the surge protector due to pc malfunctions. There are just better options if youre limited on space as i am.

I needed a surge protector with the older style of male connector for a recessed floor outlet. All of the newer surge protectors are use the flat profile connector. Although this surge protector doesn't have any USB ports, it did have the connector that I need and the cord length that I needed. Thank you BEST BUY for continuing to carry the "old" style. One size does NOT always fit all.

If you haven't purchased Surge Protectors for all of your wall-outlet devices then you're doing it wrong. This works great at not only expanding the wall outlet for multiple small electronics but it also protects the electronics from electrical surge "storms" or big surges of power in general. We had a really bad lightening storm in MI a few years back and it literally fried all of our electronics except for the ones plugged into surge protectors. Our dish washer literally got fried by the lightening surge and you could literally see sparks shooting out of the outlets on a newly built house.... Neighbors had similar experiences and it ended up being a bad transformer on our power pole.

I really like this surge protector, it provides all I need in a compact size. Size is always a factor for me as I have a small house. This replaced a power strip that was, somewhere around 2 feet long and always in the way. Finding a replacement that was so much smaller, yet still providing what I needed was great.

Excellent product. Turned out that I didn't need it as problem is with the laptop, not the surge protector nor the cord to the laptop. I bought both of those items when your Best Buy Geek Squad person said the problem was not my laptop, as it worked fine there. However, we have since found out that with a new surge and new cord, the laptop still drops to 95% on the battery, saying it is plugged in, but not charging. We believe the battery in the laptop IS the problem. We need to bring it back to you to check, as it is under warranty.

Had electrical issues and while waiting for the electrician, needed to move my computer to the outlet which had my TV and internet. I wanted to get a sturdy surge protector that could also hand several electronics going at the same time. So far, this has done well. I like the double row configuration since most of the electronics plugged into it are 3 prong. A note about service - I have used curbside pickup several times now and with time critical orders filled within a hour. Staff at store made the process easy - park, call or text your arrival and someone comes right out. Pretty seamless! Making it work in the age of COVID.

This is a nice one to have to use in my office. Plus, it was a cheaper price as well.

I believe I bought on black friday, so I had a great deal on a power strip that is a-typical. For such a low price, it has surge protector, and various spaces for different time of plug ins. The only minor complaint is that it does not have USB plug-ins also, but for the price, I'm not complaining.

I wanted a surge protector that fit a specific cable management box and this was it. I otherwise wouldn't have looked at Insignia (preferred Belkin). But it works well. You can save about $5 by buying an Open Box version, which I got and haven't had any problems with it. It is capped at 600 Joules, which means you can only use 600W concurrently, so if you're going to be pulling a lot of power at the same time, this isn't for you (definitely don't use with an electric kettle, microwave or toaster oven). But it's probably sufficient for most people. I have it hooked up to a 32-inch 1080p TV, Xbox One S, a couple of 25W LED lights, Air Purifier and some chargers (Camera Battery Charger, Phone Charger). Works well.

I recently bought an Anova Sous Vide immersion cooker and, in order to protect my counter top from the hot pot, I sit it on one of the burners on my stove. I needed an extra electrical outlet near my stove, so that I didn't have to keep unplugging something else like my electric can opener or my blender. Who doesn't need extra outlets near the stove, right! I just love my kitchen gadgets and 8 outlets with surge protection is a must have. It's just the right size, not too big and not to small. Also, I can plug in those wide brick-type plugs without covering another outlet. It seems like Insignia just thought of everything. The fact that I got it on Best Buy's Deal of the Day for just $9.99 is just awesome. Thanks Best Buy!
