Customers are saying

Customers value the 8-outlet surge protector for its affordability, functionality, and safety features. They appreciate the adequate number of outlets, especially the widely spaced ones that accommodate bulky plugs without blocking other ports. Customers also find comfort in the reliable surge protection it provides for their devices. While some wish it had USB ports and a longer cord, most agree that it works well and serves its purpose.

Budget-friendly. Ease to use. Keeps your electronics protected from power outages. I know there are other options, but I really liked this one since it's affordable and has plenty of outlets, enough for a small room or living room. Although on the bulky side, what I think compensates for its shape is that you can place your electronics with enough space between each other so those gigantic power outlets can go along with the small ones.

Replaced my very old (many years) surge protector with this one. I knew they should be replaced every two years, but kept my computer plugged into the old one and, lo and behold, my computer crashed after multiple brown outs and losses of power. Learned my lesson and have dated when I plugged this new one in, and will replace it it two years.

Works great!! Bought this because I did not want to have cords all over the place, when I only have access to two wall outlets, one of which is already utilized. Have this and have my stereo, tv, Blu ray, sound bar cables all plugged into this - everything works flawlessly, this is a great purchase if you need something convenient and have a lot of cords that you are utilizing. I also have my cell phone charger plugged in and it has been great for cleaning up all the bunch of wires that are usually all over the place!

This is a reliable and efficient solution for protecting your electronic devices from power surges. With eight outlets, it provides ample space for all your devices, such as laptops, gaming consoles, and home entertainment systems. Has not failed me yet!

This is an awesome power strip. It is worked great. I am using it to power several hard drives and an instrument. I do wish that the on/off switch was a little less difficult to activate there have been a couple times where it's been bumped and everything shut down. Overall, I believe that this is a great item. I recommend it's purchase and have no data as to its ability to help you withstand an actual power surge, we've had no weather events that would make me think that it had even had to be activated. Let's hope it stays that way.

I run quite a few computers off this, there is my main supercomputer, then a computer I use for sensitive information, and then a small android computer, as well as monitors to view all of them, then my external hard disk. I am using all 8 outlets and it happily took the power bricks via outer outlets.

I love that some of the outlets are spread far apart, enabling me to plug in some devices that require extra space, such as the ac adapter for my keyboard and guitar effects pedals.

    Don't spend more

This is a great power strip that won't cost you a lot of money. I can't think of many reasons to spend more than this on a "name brand" power strip. Insignia might be a store brand, but don't let that fool you. They do make some quality components. There is adequate spacing for bigger "wall wart" style power bricks on this, though unfortunately, not on every outlet. My biggest complaint isn't really with the power strip itself though, it's more with the fact that more and more companies are creating power adapters that plug in "sideways" (for standard wall outlets), which causes unnecessary overlapping on these "side-by-side" style power strips. You can't win!

We had another extension cord that we had our electronics plugged into, when we bought another item we realized we ran out of plugs. So we bought this surge protector and now we have plenty of space and then some. The plug locations are convenient to fit the myriad of different types of power cords. I was pleasantly shocked to realize non of mine took up more than one space. Normally some one f them cost me spots bc they are shaped inconsistently. This surge protector takes that into consideration and places the outlets in varying locations to help minimize issues.

Being connected to anything these days requires multiple surge protectors in the house. I really liked this one because of how the outlets are spaced, in case you have one of those annoying power bricks. Also, it's much smaller than it looks, and won't put a hole in your wallet! But just like all others, it quickly filled up, and I need to get an even larger one again. I really wish it wasn't dangerous to daisy-chain these (plug one protector into another), but I'll never take that risk.

Purchased to help product my other products that are connected. Living in Florida, we get daily thunderstorms during the summer months, and it's important to have a surge protector to ensure nothing gets an extra volt that ends up damaging it. The product is as is, easy to use and very reliable.

This surge protected strip is well designed for folks with large AC power adapters having 4 of the 8 outlets separated to allow for such devices to be plugged in. If you are looking for a surge protected power strip, which I recommend for any electronic device, this is a really good buy. Remember to buy them for plugging in all your electronic devices (i.e., Cell Phones, Laptops, TV's, DVD players, Routers, Stereos, and even the Microwave. They may just save your electronics in surge situation. They are cheap insurance.

Mounted on Rear of Coffee Table

I mounted this on the rear of a coffee table that sits between our recliners. It faces the rear wall so not visible from front. Makes it much easier to plug in laptops, phone chargers, etc., without climbing under the furniture to find a free plug. The two recliners are electric as well so they can plug into this centrally located power strip. The spread-out design of the outlets makes transformers easy to plug in without wasting neighboring outlets. Two small wood screws into rear of coffee table and outlet slides on. Not a real solid mounting but if you get the screws installed at correct depth it works fine. Took some trial and error in screw tightening. It would be better to have a removable rear panel that you screw on first then the power strip would then slide onto the panel.

Great TV with Lots of Settings

I did extensive reviews of TVs and compared value of each. This TV had the biggest bang for the buck. We've been happy with it for the past couple months that we've owned it. No real complaints. You can get rid of the soap opera (ultra sharpness) effect and make it look more like a movie screen, which is nice. I didn't think I would have any need for the Smart TV functions since I have a Roku, but I put the Roku on another TV instead since this worked better without it. LOVE the simplicity, design and intuitiveness of the remote! It worked with everything except my old Sony Blu-ray player.

It just happens to have the perfect layout for everything you probably need to have plugged in, into a single power strip. It is kind of odd looking but...it's actually quite functional. It's one of those products that actually works better than the overly-hyped expensive ones. Get it. You won't be sorry.

I've used INSIGNIA surge protectors in various areas for years and they have always done the job well. We have had a lot of power outtages over the years (here in the tornado belt of northern Alabama) and have had no identifiable problems of equipment being damaged by power spikes. Surge protectorsDO have a limited life span and need to be replaced every few years - so I always go back to INSIGNIA

My son reconfigured my Internet connection. “Mom, why do you still have these power strips from 20 years ago When I was still living at home? Don’t you know they could be a safety hazard?” So he bought this sleek black unit and gave the oldies To the recycling center. I can plug in my computer and chargers, VR headset, dehydrator and keyboard, with two slots to spare.
