I bought this fan to replace a cooling fan in an older PWC, which was making a terrible noise. (I was afraid it was the disk drive at first). This fan was a perfect replacement, and came with the proper hardware to secure it to the panel. It runs quiet, and I'm very pleased with the outcome, and the price (I think about $7)

Keep in mind, it's a fairly low end cooling fan, I actually use it for stoking my smoker fire. I feed it with about 4 volts at 150mA and it spins fine and is pretty quiet. Can't speak for longevity as I have only had it for about 2 months, but it does get used a lot and in worse than expected conditions.

80mm fans are ubiquitous in most MicroATX and ATX computer cases, and whether your PC is in a dusty home, a test lab, or you have a house with furry critters, eventually your fans will get noisy because the bearings will go out (in some cases, a careless jab can shatter a fan blade, but that's another story.) Given four screws worth of turning effort and a little bit of elbow grease with a Philips head, that's usually all you need (along with a replacement fan) to get your system quiet and cooler again. It's typically not worth looking for ball bearing fans given the price difference with sleeve bearing fans - get some of these and save a few bucks.

The fan on my old computer died so this was a nice replacement for a good price. It seems to be doing a better job than the previous one and it runs relatively quiet. I've never installed a computer fan before so I don't know if it's standard, but there are no threads on the fan and you need to force screw it in. It's easy to do, just a heads up if you didn't know

This would not be for everybody, but only because you have to understand how to open your PC case to replace this fan and connect it to the motherboard. However, it's extremely simply to do.

I actually use this as an evaporative cooler fan for my 29 gallon saltwater tank. The old one died so I got this one which is quieter and more powerful than my old one. Good price too.

Replaced Gateway desktop minitower fan that was not working. The system had started overheating. But with this fan in place, temperatures went back down to normal.

I replaced my CPU fan because I had a fan that had become very noisy and irritating. This was easy to install and fit my desktop computer which just had the smaller fan.

I bought two of these fans for my Dell Inspiron 530, to replace the factory cpu fan and the case fan. The fans are able to be connected to a 4 pin connector on the motherboard with the 3 pin plug. The fan also comes with a peripheral (4 pin) adapter. I run a small computer repair business on my free time, and take it from me, these fans are the best for the money.
