Fixed my problem

Aside from purchasing on line, we were happy to find that our local BB actually had the service part in stock. Although the plug was a 3 pin instead of 4 (like the original), it was wired to fit the connection on the motherboard. Thanks tom Best Buy, we were able to get the CPU up and running that same morning.

I don't think this is the fault of the fan. There just isn't a big enough gap between the front of the case that is covered and where it is drawing air in. I'm not returning the fan, because I am sure I can find another use for it and it is still a good fan.
