This had everything I was looking for: easy fit on a shelf, limited wires, cd audio, fm radio, easy Bluetooth connection, sound depth. Sounds great, easy to use, perfect for the lazy man's stereo installation.

This all-in-one shelf system was occasionally on sale by Best Buy for about 1/2 price. I kept putting off purchasing it until...it now is apparently no longer stocked as a new item. I was lucky enough to find an "open-box" still left in stock at the sale price. It sounds great when using the FM and CD. It also has bluetooth capability which I'm presently not able to utilize. It packs a punch (20w x 2 plus 40 w subwoofer). Only drawback- no individual bass, treble, balance, etc. but does have different equalizer settings (pop,rock,etc). If you can still find it in stock, it's well worth it.

The Insignia 80 watt shelf system plays cd’s, has an FM tuner, and Bluetooth. What more can you ask for when it is at half price ($79.99) at Best Buy? You get good sound that can play quite loudly, if needed. It is not a Bose shelf system and it doesn’t have the sound of a Bose shelf system. But, it has very good sound and nice bass for about 1/5 the Bose price when the Insignia is on sale. Plus, it is a nice looking device that easily is incorporated in most rooms within your home. At $79.99 it is a true bargain.

Sound is awesome, easy set up, love the remote feature system is high up on shelf. CD certainly a bonus along with the blue tooth. I highly recommend this system.

It is difficult to imagine how this multi-functional audio player can be sold for its very low price. Setup is straight-forward and, so far, all aspects have worked without a problem. The unit looks great and the sound of CDs is very pleasant. The FM antenna pulls in a great number of stations and the sound is good. It is important to note that the unit is surprisingly large (18in wide by almost 12in deep). But if you have a place for it, this unit is an amazing bargain.

Love it! Bluetooth my Echo Dot to it, CD player, Sub sounds decent. Fills up a room nicely! Looks really cool too.

Sound quality is very good, and plays music from many different sources (CD, FM Radio, Blue Tooth, memory sticks). Includes other features, like a clock, presets for FM radio plus connections for audio input and headphones. I would have given it 5 stars, but not crazy about the power configuration. Button on the front is actually a "standby" button, with the actual on-off switch on the back. We bought this for a condo and I am concerned that if it ever got turned off in the back, our guests would not know how to operate it.

This is a best buy at Best Buy. Perfect for an apartment. A kitchen. An office. A college dorm. Even a superior alternative to most TV sound bars. The product description on bestbuy.com is poorly-written (sorry bb) and doesn't tell the whole story. You get 20W each for the left and right speakers PLUS 40W for the included subwoofer loaded under the unit - furniture protective, scratch-proof feet also raise it for the bass to pound. Another great feature that isn't conveyed is that this is also an alarm/clock stereo - you can set it to wake up to your favorite radio station or one of your eye-opening CDs. I only wish they would have charged all of us an additional dollar to include AM radio. (Baseball games, news and talk shows). There are no treble or bass controls, BUT there are four EQ presets that serve quite nicely. Important: The sweet-spot for optimum audio quality is to position the unit at ear level - the l/r front speakers are highly directional.

This is a good sounding audio system for the price and space it takes up. I primarily use the radio, and it picks up FM channels well. The audio system has a surprising amount of bass and volume for it's size. It was easy to connect my phone thru bluetooth. My only complaint is that it doesn't seem to be as loud when playing music streamed from my phone thru bluetooth. Everything considered...I am happy and would buy it again.

This radio is in a neat attractive package and has good sound. It plays a single CD. Comes with a remote . The user interface is good. My one disappointment with this radio is the lack of an HD reception capability. HD broadcasts have been advancing for the past 2 years and are now widely available where FM is available. The HD technology is superior to FM and should be standard on any FM radio in todays market.

The old and complicated Mom's Sound equipment got broken so I was looking for something modern, up to date but at the same time easy and good quality for my Mom, and this Insignia Amp was the right choice. Very nice little shelf unit, clean and powerful sound. It has all you need, Bluetooth streaming, Am/Fm, CD, Aux in, and even a decent subwoofer.

I was looking for a simple basic CD player to provide music upstairs. This unit is small, simple and reasonably powerful. This piece gives an oldschool feel and vibe while providing ample sound for most and some basic features like a jack for headphones, and Aux port, has a FM/AM radio and antenna and even has a USB Port. Another nice feature if desired is since it is compact and all inclusive in one unit it is easily moved if necessary. All in all nice good unit for the money! :)

This is one of many desktop/shelf stereo systems i have purchased. I love music and it is fitting that i am a old school vinyl dj that started spinning vinyl in 1985....this system is sleek and designed well with may options for input / output. You can even plug in a usb with music on it and play from the remote. It even goes on sale from time to time. Get one for you self or for you child and it will be money well spent. Small price with a Big Sound!

We liked this Insigna audio system well enough that we purchased a second. One for each—OC condo and year round home.Has many features seen more in much higher priced systems.Sleek and attractive to look at along with very user friendly.Easy for any tech challenged—esp. when installing it. Would recommend it for any age bracket.

Was initially drawn to this stereo because of the color, but I really loved the slight retro feeling it has. I am so glad I purchased this item. It was easy to set up, has great sound, and the CD player is great. The size is perfect, not too small, but not so huge that it needs its own shelf. Highly recommend this product

Far exceeded my expectations! I'm 63 years old, retired, living on SSA Retirement Pay Checks. I couldn't afford to spend a lot of money on a fancy expensive stereo. I searched for days for a stereo that had the possibility to have a decent sound within my budget. I was just about to give up when I saw this stereo and read all the positive reviews. I ordered it and was on my doorstep in 2 days. I was simply amazed when I played my first cd. Good high, middle and low tones. Bass was very surprising with a clear rich tone with no distortion at high volumes. I listen to Classic Rock, Jazz, Classical and Country music. From Kenny G to Stevie Ray Vaughn I got the sound I was searching for with the Rock Setting on the equalizer. Great value, great quality, great look and great sound. 100% satisfied! I purchased this item on sale for $79.99... To Be Honest, you can not beat it for the money - Bluetooth works great with our I phones - Sound is more then acceptable especially for the money - Base is fine and really thumps with the volume turned up slightly - Again - Can not beat this for the money - Great purchase - Thank you Best Buy !!!!

Got this for my dad who is older. Needed a good simple CD player that looked good on the shelf, sounded good and was simple to use. This does all that. He’s super happy with his CD player and uses it daily. It looks retro and fits the decor well. Also got it on sale which was a bonus. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing for what it is. Great sound, all the bells and whistles and an amazing price. The sound quality it above average, it’ll knock your socks off if played at full volume. Nice base, built in EQ, Bluetooth ready and ready to plug and play. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate to purchase this bad boy.

Based on the other reviews I took a chance on purchasing this and I am glad that I did! I think the sound is very good and I love the retro look. it also has Bluetooth so I can listen to my playlist on Amazon. Definitely recommend this for both quality and price.
