I've made a pot roast and a big batch of soup so far. Both turned out great with he roast being more tender than any I've had since my mom made roasts in her pressure cooker. Do be advised that this thing is big and it's heavy. It's approx 14.5" tall and 14" wide. I'd seen a number of 6-quart cookers and kinda thought it would be about the same size, wrong. Also, make sure you read the instructions carefully. The first time I used the rapid depressurization feature I was surprised at the volume and force of the steam. If you're not careful you will burn yourself. It's great if you use it the way it's intended to be used.

I wasn’t sure if I would want this type of appliance so when the price was low enough for me to wear I wouldn’t feel like I’ve wasted my money if I didn’t use it I got it. Buying it from Best Buy was super easy had it delivered and I couldn’t have been happier. We’ve cooked quite a few things in this and just getting used to it will take a little bit of time. But the product itself I’m happy withAnd also the experience with Best Buy I’m very happy with

This pot is amazing. I do Wish it has a hi/ low button installed but it makes up for it with all of its capabilities. I love how I can switch from saute/Fri mode right into cook mode. Food comes out perfect and can cook hundreds of recipes including beverages and deserts. It has a permanent home on top of my counter and is used multiple times a week. Clean up is also VERY SIMPLE!!!!

I never knew what I was missing until I got this cooker. I do practically all of my cooking in it. It gives my food a nice, delicious taste.

In the first week I owned this I made beef stew, chicken and dumplings, and then chicken noodle soup. It generally took me longer to do the prep work than it took to cook the meal.

So far this pot is one of the best investments I'd made for my kitchen, now, to think about what I'm making for dinner and make it, is so easy, and the best part is that food is done so quick, I use it every day, because I can cook everything in it, I love it and I recommend it to anyone who's like me thinking about if you really should buy it.

I love this pressure cooker! It 10* better than a normal crock pot. It does the same thing just with better features. Just be careful with what timer you put it on

This also took the place of my stove! I cook everything from smothered chicken or pork chops to Sautéed vegetables, soups, cake. I live the cup that catches the Condensation while in use! Handle is hot though while in use. What I would like to see is a pause button to check it! So veggies won’t be over steamed.

My first pressure cooker. I LOVE it. It was simple to use and cooked my roast perfectly.

I purchased my new Insignia 8-qt. Digital Multi Cooker Stainless Steel as another gift for myself to enjoy making special dishes and something different for me to learn and master. It's taking me a long time to digest but know once I really start to use this unique and big multi-cooker for any kind of food will be fun and a pleasure. Just know I have time and home to concentrate. Instructions from Best Buy help has given me hints and explained more. Project in the works.

I've had this pressure cooker for about 10 months. Its pretty nice, although much bigger than I need for personal use, would be perfect for a good size family, but even still, pretty huge. The reason for my one star review is the pin that locks the lid when pressurized has fallen out of it no-where to be found. This poses a bit of a safety issue and also makes it where my pressure cooker can't fully pressurize, making it more of a slow cooker. I've reached out to Insignia customer service who has asked for order number, picture of the issue, how it happened, and whether I purchased a protection plan. I will update this review depending on the customer service response, but if it takes more than a few days I only see myself updating this to maybe 2 stars due to questionable build quality.

we made 6 quarts of Wendy's chili and it came out real good

Opened the box, saw a dent on the side of unit, tried to call several times no answer. Bad customer service.

Great addition to our kitchen..it is a great investment!

Product is good but delivered with box damage and value for money
