This was a warranty replacement for a Phillips Dual DVD player. The straps for the headrest took some work to secure to the headrests in out Traverse, but seem steady. Good picture so far. Loves that it always picks up from the last spot after a stop. The only con is there is no remote. No issues so far, but we made sure to get the warranty as these are prone to break.

This is my third purchase of DVD players over the past eight years. This is the first Insignia I have purchased. This seems to be the easiest to operate and the buttons are located conveniently. Bought these to keep the grandkids occupied on trips. They like this Insignia players better than any other brands we have purchased. The picture is clearer.

Serves the purpose to entertain our grandchildren in the car and/or home. Having an issue connecting the wires and only using one movie for both screens.
But it saves money for having one DVD player to be installed by the dealership which was too expensive, eventough it was prewired. only to be used when grandchildren are in the car (use one or twice a year).

Item works great and the quality of the picture is awesome. Love how it doesnt start over when you stop a DVD. Sound is alittle on the low side so you will have to lower the car music for the audio to be heard unless they wear headphones. Use it for my 1 year old and it keeps him calm on the longer rides.

We purchased this DVD player for our 18 month old in hopes it would make a 12 hour drive tolerable. It most definitely delivered! It played Frozen about six thousand times and kept our daughter entertained and amused. The picture was good; the sound quality was good; the cord did not come loose from either the input or the car jack; it stayed fastened to the head rest without issue; it did not get hot/warm to the touch. The only thing that could have made it better was if it played bluray discs so that my husband wouldn't have felt like an idiot when he put in a bluray disc and could not figure out why he was receiving the error message, "no disc."

I had read reviews about a more expensive name brand product and that customers were not very satisfied. This portable DVD set worked perfectly and made our road trip a lot more enjoyable for my son and mom. Easy to use. Plugged into cigarette lighter, they plugged in earbuds or headphones and enjoyed!

They worked great. The master/slave system worked great as well as each unit individually. Just used these for two long road trips in two weeks and kept everyone happy. The case is very convenient to hold everything and they are very easy to mount. I wish the wires were a tad longer but can't complain.

Needed something to keep the grandbaby entertained while on the road, and this is just perfect! Fits nicely over the headrest, and in perfect position since he is still rear facing. As soon as he gets in his seat, he pulls the blanket off (we keep it covered to deter thieves), and knows he can watch his favorite videos (Sesame Street Silly Songs & Mickey Mouse Club-he likes to dance along). I like that when the car is turned off, upon restarting the vehicle, the movie resumes where it left off. I also like that since there are 2 units, you can either watch 1 video on both screens, or 2 separate videos.

We took a trip and purchased the Insignia DVD players to entertain our five and eight year granddaughters riding in third row seats. The DVD players were easy to mount and stayed solidly in place on the headrests of the second row seats. They performed well without skipping. When leaving and turning off the vehicle they started where they left off. They are versatile in that each can play a separate DVD or one DVD can be viewed on both players at the same time. Ear buds or headphones are necessary to hear well over the noise of the vehicle. We were very happy with this purchase.

It's great to be able to watch different movies on 2 screens. Good size! Con: volume isnt loud, doesn't come with remote, to eject the DVD you have to undo the velcro to change disc. There should be an easy eject button.

Bought this to entertain the kids for upcoming road trip from San Francisco to San Diego, and back. Worked as intended - able to watch one movie on both screens, or two separate movies. Double-edged complaint: wires dangling all over the place, yet the cigarette lighter adapter (power) was not long enough for the minivan so I had to purchase a separate adapter to act as an extension. The screen holders are bulky/awkward but understandably since the intent is to be used universally in all types of cars. Overall, an inexpensive investment if you plan to take a lot of road trips - wife already said best investment after one use!

Great units! Only complaint is that when installed on the headrests, you have to take the unit out of the harness that attaches to the headrest in order to change the disc. Otherwise, these units performed great entertaining the kids on a 16 hour drive!

My son loves watching movies while we are in the car. This dual screen helps if we go on long trips for one other person to watch something else. We also are able for keep screens in both cars and just switch cords. This is much easier.

Bought these to help entertain the children during a long car ride to the grand canyon. It was easy for my children to figure out how to connect them and I loved that they could watch two separate movies or 1 together. I do wish they were wireless and could sync or broadcast the screen instead of having so many cords all over the place. The screen was hard to see when light, definitely could do better than that for the price they were. Also, add bluetooth. is a must now days and these didn't have that option so we had to spend extra money on headphones. These cost more than I wanted to pay, however they are heavy duty and still travel with us so we are getting our moneys worth. If DVD's are still your thing, then these will be great for you. OH! another thing I liked is that they each have a wall plug so you can use them in the hotel room as well!

We love our insignia portable DVD players. We can't say anything bad about this product. We only had it for a month and haven't had any problems with it so far but I took the store warranty with it so if within a year it brake, we covered.
We take long trips and kids are quiet for hours. Only wish it came with a DVD changer lol..
oh and it comes with house and car plugs and head rest mount .. very easy to put together I crisscross the straps on my headrest to secure it better.

Worked well until (monitor A) started making a distinct noise during a 1 week road trip might have been faulty DVD player but it played for the entire time. My quick solution was unplug and let it sit then retry to play DVD due to noise. Also was unable to play DVD from monitor A to B (followed manual directions with aux setup) but they played individual DVDs with no issues. 13 hours from Tampa, FL to Arkansas, worked well! From Arkansas to Dallas, TX (5 hours 30 minutes) noises started to occur! From Dallas, TX to Tampa, FL (19 hours straight with several stops) with 2 little ones it played with noise on and off. Overall it's worth the money. After returning home a week later I was able to replace both DVD players with a new one at the same Best Buy location!

Great portable DVD player for long road trips. Good picture and simple to use. Did not like strap system since we have to angle screen a bit to avoid glare. Used straps from old players from a different brand to secure.

This DVD system has all the features you'll need. Everything functions well and the picture is great ! The kids can watch one movie or two separate ones which is always a good option. This system is about 20% less in price than top brand names.

Set up was pretty easy and it was very nice to have dual screens. We used it for a very long trip for a 2 year old and 4 year old to have movies to watch. A remote would have been helpful & we were unable to change movies while traveling.
