This has a great picture and works wonderfully. The low price made it a great buy.

This was not my first choice, but so far it has worked well and stood up to the ups and downs of a 3 yr old's life and antics. Picture and sound are good. The only real concern is that it seems top heavy so it tends to flip over easy in the car if it is not secured in some way.

Although this DVR was easy to use and had good picture and sound quality for my 91 year old mother, I had to return it because my sister bought one for her with a larger screen. Otherwise, I would have kept it.

My kids consider this model an upgrade from the last model we purchased from Best Buy, (also Insignia!). The swivel screen is a big hit as it allows them to 'get comfortable' and use the dvd player in typical contorted teenage and pre-teen positions.

This is a basic entry level DVD player. It does not play BluRay discs.The sound is better than most of the other portable units I have bought; the screen swivel is a nice feature (keeps the kids from fighting). Hope it lasts.

Purchased this for an elderly mother who is not at all technically savvy. Picked this one for the simple controls and it is reliable and works well for her.

I needed a portable dvd player for my work and this product is easy to use and has good picture quality. Sound is very good for a player in this price range. So far, this item has served me well.

This is our second player as we had the 7" which just died after 3 years. This is our daughter's and we use it in the car and for entertainment purposes in restaurant's, friends houses's, etc. It withstands toddler drops/ abuses and keeps on ticking. It only died after she reached and pulled the electrical piece out. The 180 degree flip screen means you can cover the controls so that your young child can't mess with the stop, start, pause buttons. I just start the movie before sliding it into a carry case. I've had ones with remotes but never liked them and you always lose those itty bitty things anyways. Onto the bigger 9" which is reasonably priced too. The charge holds longer than quoted and I love these. I invested in an energizer car charger that allows for an electrical plug in for the extra long car rides but have only had it die once when we forgot it. It was around 4 or so hours. I don't think you will regret this purchase.
