Review for Insignia™ - Active Nylon Band for Apple Watch 42mm, 44mm, 45mm, SE, Ultra 49mm and Ultra 2 49mm - Olive Green Anyone who reads my reviews knows I’m a big fan of all things Insignia - BestBuy’s signature store brand. Always a good bargain, Insignia products, in my opinion, match or exceed the quality of name brand items. This band for the Apple Watch is no exception. It’s well made and comfortable to wear. I especially like that it’s made from two separate pieces that connect to the Apple Watch in the same way standard bands do. Cheaper, less well made bands like this often are made from a single band that loops though one of the watch connectors and therefor creates a more bulky look. That design also makes the band wear more at the junction point. It’s easy to slip off without pulling the end of the band completely free, but also fine to open it completely and slip the end through the ring. The material of the band is sleek and soft, the hook closures (think Velcro…) are very effective but don’t collect lint and fuzz like some hook and loop systems. I like the olive color - it looks both dressy or casual, depending on my outfit. I don’t wear this band for yard work or exercise because I don’t want to get it sweaty or dirty. I imagine it’s easy enough to wash clean, but I prefer a silicone band for these tasks

Comfortable Apple Watch band that stood up against everyday life. The material is a soft nylon with a hook and loop closure. I love the olive color; it is very easy to color coordinate. The design of the band is pragmatic and utilitarian. It seems like it would fit a wide range of wrist sizes. I usually use small/medium size wrist bands and the excess part of the band goes about 80% of the way to the watch face. It installs securely into the Apple Watch band slot with no pull, and it also removes easily as well. In terms of comfort, this watch band is great. The plastic loop sits on the side of the wrist so when the wrist rests on a hard surface the plastic loop does not cause any discomfort. I’ve used it in a number of workouts with no issues. While i cannot speak of the long term durability of this product, it’s stood up to normal wear and tear with no fraying to be seen. I’ve worn this band hiking, to do strength training and high intensity interval training workouts, cycling, and to work with no issues. I’ve also gotten the band wet and sweaty, and it seems to dry very quickly. Overall, I’d recommend this band to anyone who’s looking for a stylish watch band at a great value.

I have been using this watch band for some time and have been enjoying it. It has a decent build quality. The loops are plastic but the band is a stretchy woven cloth. Pretty comfortable on the wrist and not too wide. Im currently using it on my series 2 no problems. It’s very adjustable with the Velcro allowing it to attach to any part of the band. Over the time I have had with it I haven’t seen that much of wear on the Velcro which is great. The band has a bit of wear but nothing too crazy. I am always afraid of the Velcro tearing apart the material, and then losing its grabbing . One thing that I have to deal with when putting it on everyday is I have a large wrist and hand so I have to completely unhook it from the loop to put the watch on. A little extra step to do putting on the watch. It does take some practice to get it each time but it’s not too bad. My wife has smaller wrists and is able to just slide it on versus having to take it out the loop. Overall this is a decent watchband and pretty comfortable and seems very durable.

This checks the major boxes in that it's comfortable, easily adjustable, and looks decent, but you can tell that it wasn't designed or executed well. The most glaring defect is that the plastic piece on the end of the strap will slide all the way through the plastic loop, which means it can come apart while sliding it on or off your wrist. If you're used to OEM straps, you might be counting on that not to happen, and your watch could fall off your wrist and onto a counter, desktop, or floor while taking it off or putting it on. Even if you're expecting it, it can cause you to have to thread the end of the strap back through the loop while you're putting the watch on instead of just needing to cinch it down. That extra space in the loop also means that the strap will slide to the slide of the loop while it's on your wrist instead of remaining centered, which can be a problem if you care about that sort of thing (which I do). The other subtle problem is that the plastic ends don't align exactly with the watch case. That's only a problem if you're looking closely at the watch, where you can see the end jutting out past the case near the middle, and not quite reaching the end of the slot on the sides, but it's another example of poor quality control in either design or execution. So, this is not a horrible option if you're just looking for a cheap comfortable band, but if you care about quality, this isn't for you.

I love Insignia nylon bands for Apple Watch! I have the braided Nylon which is great, but the Active Nylon feels a little better on the skin (not as...scratchy? You don’t feel the texture of the band). My only issue is I almost have to separate the band to get my wrist off. For my braided, I don't have to, I just adjust the strap and it comes off. I can't do it with the Active, I have to separate the velcro first, then pull it almost and out of the loop closure, which I want to avoid because then you have to thread it back in and that is an extra step no one wants to do. This is especially frustrating when I'm trying to do a quick charge and wind up having to separate it. I am curious on how long the velcro will last, especially since I have to rip it off and on each time i charge! I'm a huge fan of velcro, but they don't last long if you keep separating it, and I have to do this 4+ times a day! However, i think the plan is to wear this active nylon band during the day, and switch to braided at night for sleep - as I have to adjust my band often throughout the night.

Works great with the watch. It is very comfortable.
