It is made by Best Buy and sold as "Insignia". Thet refused a return bacause I was gone for more than 14 days even though I never used the product. Don't buy this converter if you need to use it more than 10 minutes. Best Buy is not very reliable to shop at and doesn't back their products. Buyer beware.

The blades are quite thin and the device is sufficiently heavy that it pulls itself out of the socket unless the user finds a way to support it from underneath. The blades do not lock in the out position with sufficient force necessitating holding them out as they are inserted into the socket.
