I only tried to use it in the UK but it didn't fit snugly in the socket and wouldn't maintain current. Even when I got the indicator light on it wouldn't power my laptop.

However, when I spoke to the agent, I specifically mentioned that I would need it for South Africa and Namibia, which have three-pronged, rounded plugs. I was assured the Insignia was universal, so bought it. However, it does not have the needed converter plugs. Too bad.

It got very hot, and kept falling out of the wall. After significant frustration, I threw it in the trash. I worried that it would catch on fire, and it was not useful coming undone from the wall
