Customers admire the Amplified Thin Film Indoor HDTV Antenna's excellent reception, ease of use, and picture quality. Many appreciate its ability to pick up a large number of channels and its simple installation. While some users experienced weaker signals depending on their location and building materials, the antenna's compact size and affordability were frequently praised. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of setup outweighs the concerns about signal strength in certain situations.

We got 2 of these before Hurricane Laura. Experience with Comcast during storms, as well as warnings of sever weather possibilities made the decision for us. Curb side pick up made it easy while making final grocery/gas run. Very glad to have these as we were on the east side of the storm and experienced very strong winds, power outages and cable service interruptions. Luckily we got our power back the next afternoon, and were able to use these to get 23 different channels. Mostly watched local channels to keep up on warnings, alerts, and instructions about debris cleanup, safe water issues, closed roads and alternate emergency phone numbers as service was out to many local first responders. When visitation to assisted living facilities are lifted, plan to put one on 94 year old Great Aunt’s tv, her cable service out nearly a week, and she had nothing to watch. This would have made her feel more secure instead of wondering what was going on.

I initially purchased model NS-ANT200HA..
I only received 13 channels… Did the whole moving around “dance” and it was still only 13.. so I decided to purchase this one due to learning a bit more online about antennas… and how “amplified” antennas could more channels… Hooked it up and didn’t get anymore channels than the prior antenna provided me.. I continued to research online.. because I was easily receiving the HI-V channels but not those designated as being UHF… Long story short … my TV’s setting for the coaxial input has multiple options and it was set to “Antenna/CableTV… when I learned about this being a potential problem .. I went into my TV’s setting for the coaxial input and set it to “Antenna”… (not Antenna/CableTV)…
I rescanned and got 103 channels.. antenna didn’t even need to be in the window.. just laying flat next to the TV and about 3 feet away from the window…
I reconnected the first antenna I purchased (NS-ANT200HA) just to check it.. and I got 73 channels as opposed to the initial 13… (pre coaxial input change)
Sooo… check your coaxial inputs on your TV’s settings as many are probably “preset” for Antenna/CableTV due to early CableTV being provided via your coaxial input..
Shout out to www.dennysantennaservice.com where I found the necessary information regarding my inability to pick up UHF channels and to check my TV’s coaxial input as the potential culprit..
PS - This model NS-ANT500HA provided me with 30 more channels (103) than model NS-ANT200HA (73) did… so the “amplified” label and extra components that come with this “500” model versus the “200” model DO actually increase the number of channels you can get…
Hope this helps..

It’s not as good as hoped. Won’t pick up one of the local channels. Easily installed. Picture is good. Had just hoped for better.

I know TV antenna reception quality depends on where you live. This antenna has worked great, I have it placed by a window. Easy set-up, around $40, and I'm satisfied with this alternative to cable. Been looking to "cut the cord" for awhile and this made a transition smooth.

I bought this on sale as we had a contract dispute with ABC for local broadcast through DirecTV. It does a fantastic job and is very easy to set up. The thing I dislike about it is that you cannot mount it behind your TV as it blocks out the signal you receive. Once I did move it from behind the TV, it worked fairly well. You just have to go through your TV settings and do a scan on the the antenna channels. Plan to use this once storms hit our area and knock out our DirecTV satellite. Only bought for emergencies.

I have had mixed results with this antenna. I get best results by placing the antenna in a window of my house. I can typically pick up about 20 channels when I put the antenna in the window and I live about 30 miles south of a large city. When I tried placing the antenna behind the wall mount TV, I didn’t pick up any channels at all, so location is very important. I didn’t like the antenna wire hanging from the TV on the wall to the window, so I ended up only using it when I wanted to watch a football game or something else that I can’t stream easily. It works well in the right location, and the signal quality was excellent, but a bit of a nuisance if you have to locate it somewhere else in your house to get a signal.

I was pleasantly surprised how good picture quality i had with this antenna. I am getting all local news channels in crystal clear quality (about 20 miles east of Buffalo NY). I recently cur the cord and was missing local channels. With this I am able to get local NBC, ABC and then some. I stick the antenna on a glass sliding door that opens towards my backyard by using the 3M stickers that came with it. It also includes a stand for the antenna in case you have space to keep it close to your tv.
I had previously tried anther indoor antenna but it received on 26 channels and was missing ABC7 which i watch mostly for local news and weather. This was was able to get 42 channels including ABC7. With such a low price it is a no brainer.

This antenna has been great as our AT&T service has been out many times over the last month. It is easy to hook up to the TV. We are able to get 30 channels with the antenna and it is thin enough to hide behind our TV so you can't see it.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to hook up and set up, and even more surprised at the number of channels I got, even though I probably won’t watch most. when there is a bad storm you get some interference but otherwise you get the main channels from the networks and that’s all I really wanted or expected from this antenna.

For the price it's great. Installation is simple, although it would be easier with longer cables (especially power.) It's quite directional, but I think that's typical of this type of antenna - so you may spend some time aiming it properly. You may find that you need to reposition it depending on the transmitter location for the desired stations - like the good old days with rabbit ears! I'm in a difficult location (basement) so it's actually installed at about ground level which is bad, but I still get a great signal - equal or better than cable on the same channel. I'm actually quite surprised at the quality of the picture, it's excellent.

I bought this on a whim as a deal of the day, figuring I would buy a better one once I decided if I was really "cutting the cable" for tv service. I do not need to buy another one! It is on a wall behind my tv and reception is great. It does have line of sight to my door which is half window so that is probably why my reception is good on an interior wall. I really only needed to be able to pick up local broadcast for storm warnings and the like, but I get many more channels than I expected from this. Easy set up.

Purchased this item for moms house and here it goes. Price not bad, easy set up. It worked for a day or two then started to loose signal. Mom does live around the Burbank airport area so signal is not to good for antenna, Returned the item back to BestBuy which was easy, I guess back to Cable or Satellite for better results.

I purchased this for my home office. The TV in there is not connect to cable but I needed something to watch the bad weather if needed. I didn't really think it would really work, but to my surprise it is really fantastic. I placed it in my office window and it is ready to use when and if needed. I generally listen to shows on Roku when I'm working but this gives me more than local channels.
It isn't pricey like the one in my living room and bedroom but very pleased with the results. Hopefully I won't have to rely upon this for safety reasons but it is there if we need it. Worth Every Penny!

Its average in quality. good price. it is active (meaning it is powered) so serves much better than unpowered antenna. reception is goid if placed correctly. attached to a window or outer wall is best. comes with a stand for table, but found this lacked reception. the powered coaxial has decent length to reach a nearby wall. (10 feet plus length of wall-wart cable). I recommend

I needed an indoor antenna to go with the TV of the same brand for my mother while she is bed ridden.
I get just as good if not better reception as my previously purchased indoor antenna which cost more.
I was attracted to the fact that this one had it's own stand and adhesive cylindrical spacers for mounting on glass. I wasn't sure how my sister-in-law might feel about adhering an antenna on her bedroom window, so I was hoping to find one with the stand.
It has worked very well. Although I'll admit that once the hotter summer Florida days hit, those adhesive spacers lost their ability to hold. However, I wasn't really surprised at that fact.

The idea was to get basic channels, and this did the job, including 2 network affiliates and local news. Towers are 30-50 miles away. The amplifier is necessary. Turning it off drastically cut reception. It receives HD or whatever is broadcast. Found 24 channels, fewer watchable, 3 repeats (at different frequencies), some vintage series. Antenna placement important, so try various locations, including windows and high spots. Keep away from wi-fi and other equipment.
