Customers are saying

Customers admire the Amplified Thin Film Indoor HDTV Antenna's excellent reception, ease of use, and picture quality. Many appreciate its ability to pick up a large number of channels and its simple installation. While some users experienced weaker signals depending on their location and building materials, the antenna's compact size and affordability were frequently praised. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of setup outweighs the concerns about signal strength in certain situations.

Great little antenna. Does exactly what I expected. Obviously, it will not reach very distant signals, but it gets local stations 30 miles away. Easy to set up and attach to my TV. Who needs cable, since I don't watch that many channels anyway.

    Best Antenna Out There

I saw this on Deal of the Day not too long ago, and I thought why not try to update my antenna which I have had for 5 years. I got this antenna and wow, it was a big upgrade. With my old one, if strong winds were hitting outside or a helicopter flew over, the picture would freeze or cut out. With this new antenna, none of that happens. I truly recommend this product if you are looking to step away from cable, it picks up a lot more channels and they come out very clear.

It definitely brings in more channels than my previous antenna but it's hard to figure out where to put it to get the most channels I can. Might be my building issue though. It does seem surprisingly flimsy though. It was on sale so it was a really good price.

I was a little hesitated to purchase this indoor antenna, because when I was little, I remember back in the day, indoor antenna wasn't that good at receiving signals, we had to adjust multiple times in order to get a acceptable picture. This one really blows my mind. It's so easy to put together, and light to move around, and receive 1080 or 720 resolution quality local channels, including FOX, NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, CW, and so on. If you are a cord cutter, and only care about watching some local channels, this is the must have. I will recommend it to anyone I know who thinks about cord cutter!

Easy to install - it advertises up to 200 channels but we are far below that. However, that could be due to the placement of the antenna behind the flat screen instead of by a window. Good signal for the channels we view.

It was very easy to set up, instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The antenna doesn’t look like one, it looks like a card envelope. The local channels look amazing and I’m able to see many channels. No problems obtaining a clear signal. Definitely considering getting a second and third antenna for my other TVs.

Antenna was easy to install. When we used the TV to search for channels, we were able to find 18. Antenna is not near a window so that may the best for its current location. Picture quality is good except when someone stands right by the antenna.

    Worked Like a Charm

I admit it, I was skeptical. Found it hard to believe what appears to be a thin piece of cardboard could pick up digital transmissions effectively. I have been with DirecTV for almost 20 years, but it has gotten so expensive, I finally decided to move forward with cutting the cord. This was the first step. I live just over 30 miles from the primary broadcast towers (southeast of Denver, CO) but my house is fairly high up on a hill. I was worried I would need an outdoor antenna. So I decided to try this one because (i) it supposedly had the necessary range; (ii) it was power amplified; and (iii) it was inexpensive. So I hooked it up to my TV in the living room (main floor). Within ten minutes, I had 55 channels, all clear as a bell. Can't beat that!! I have since added a Tablo DVR (and attached a 1 TB hard drive) and Roku streaming device. All working beautifully. Last step is to cancel DirecTV, which I am doing in the next few days (I am paid up for about another week). I spent about $350 on the entire setup. I'm happy and will be saving about $125 per month. That means I will net a savings of over $1,000 in the first year!

Bought this to replace a rabbit ear model. Mounted it above sliding glass door in bedroom. After channel scan, began receiving 100+ channels. Many duplicate because multiple towers are in range of our home close to bay in SF Bay Area. Also, many channels we don't watch anyway. But still, functioning way better than previous antenna. There is also a splitter associated with this installation and the other TV is receiving 100+ channels also.

Needed an antenna for a tv I wanted to put outside but didn’t want cable or smart devices, just over the air channels are fine. Wanted it quick so went to Best Buy and bought one they had in stock. Connected it and ran the tv tuner to find channels and was very impressed with the number if digital channels it got. Every local channel and then all the sub channels , some up to 4 different within say WBZ channel 4

Bought this two days ago, arrived as expected. Setup was easy, and the antennae has exceeded my expectations. Stuck it on the wall next to the sliding glass door. Only wanted to pickup our local channels NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, etc. However, I'm able to pickup many more channels. I live in So Cal, so its expected that we would have above average reception, but so far, I'm impressed.

This antenna surprised me with its sensitivity in picking up extra channels for my digital TV. It saved me from the usual frustrating searches for receptivity too. It's lightweight, is visually unobtrusive, and is easy to clean.

We bought three of them on close out. We use them to pull in a local station that’s fighting with Dish that we can no longer get on Dish. The antenna’s range maxes at 50 miles. Good enough for our needs. The next generation that replaces it has a range of 300 miles. Quality reception is good. It does what we wanted it to do.

We purchased the Insignia Amplified HDTV antenna to cut the cable use, and it's worked great. Installation was easy and quick, and the antenna picked up at 35-40 channels the first time we set it up with our LG HDTV. We now get between 43-48 channels, and are very happy with our purchase. Even during thunderstorms, the reception is solid and we don't lose channels. Two thumbs up!!

I finally freed myself from the shackles of cable. The game comes in great, once it's plugged in. Needs ac power. I have my stickered to the window which doesn't look great. The cables aren't very long. Aesthetically speaking, I don't love it, though there's not too much I wouldn't tolerate for $40.
