I've realized I am not in the best spot geographically for these antennas to work, but this one seems to be pretty great all things considered. I had to mess around with the location for a while but settled on next to the window and upside down which seems to work the best for me (don't ask why). Now I can watch the seahawks lose for a small one time price instead of paying $200 a month for cable!

We recently got a new cable provider for my dad who lives in a suburb of Chicago, IL. He did not want to spend money on additional rental TV boxes from his provider on TV’s he doesn’t watch that often. I suggested we give this Insignia Indoor TV antenna a try for under $40. He liked the fact that this model came with a little stand. He has it sitting on the shelf behind the television. There is a window directly above it about 3 feet away. He did not want to stick it in the window and have loose wires hanging down because the grandchildren frequently visit. The shelf-top mounting option is a great choice. We hooked everything up, it was extremely easy and took less that 10 minutes. Then, we plugged in the amplifier cord and ran our televisions scan. Honestly, I personally was not expecting much and was going to be happy if we could get a few basic local channels. Low and beheld, as the TV was scanning, the list of memorized channels grew. We ended up with 89 channels! We went through them all and they are all great quality. The only local channel that didn’t seem to come through is CBS Channel 2, but I know it also gets broadcast as channel 48.3, which is crystal clear and HD quality. This was a great investment that will pay itself off in a few months. It beats paying $10.00 a month to rent a cable box. They really should give you the option to purchase TV boxes like they do with modems and routers. If you’re on the fence I would suggest buying it and giving it a try. You could always return it if it doesn’t live up to your expectations.

Easy to set up, reasonable price and it works great. We are in a rural area, 50 miles from the city where the stations originate. Sometimes we have to move it around a little bit but that's not a problem.

    Decent Antenna For The Price

The antenna was easy to set up, but needed to be moved around in the window to get maximum channels, though I couldn’t bring up the local PBS channel. Also, affixing to a wall is not a good idea because sometimes moving it around reduces pixilation of some channels. However, it gives me the major local channels and some themed channels showing older content to watch and reserve my limited hot spot Internet access for an excellent price.

It was worth the money I paid for this antenna. I got about 28 channels on it, including channels 4 and 7. I have it sitting on a side table next to the TV.

    Great Budget Antenna

Great antenna overall, bought to replace my old antenna and there's a big jump in quality with one. With this one we now have 20 more channels, 80 in total compared to our previous 60. It also has a sleek look, with each side of it respectively being black and white, lending it the ability to blend in with most environments well, also coming with most of the hardware to mount it to the wall if wanted. It's thin, flexible, and comes with a strong metal base, allowing it to be placed in most places without the forethought or worry of it being knocked over. The cord it comes with it long and on the thin side, so it blends in well and for the most part isn't noticable or an eye sore. There is low to minimal interruptions, especially compared to my previous antenna, even during heavy storms it holds up with minimal stuttering or otherwise. For the price it's a great antenna all around, with it lacking in barely any categories. Would recommend to anyone on the look out for a well priced, good working antenna.

Amazing! When i opened the box and seen it wasn't a hard plastic one but a flexible one I thought to myself no way this is going to work. Using 2 push pins I attach it to the wall and ran the scan and behold, we got more channels then a could believe. Works great!

    Best value indoor antenna

The pros: set-up is simple, the unit itself is compact and aesthetically pleasing (mixes in nicely with surrounding decor), and it contains a convenient stand which allows you to stand it up vs. most others which require you stick it on a wall - not always a good option if the wall closest to the TV is not facing the towers. With the stand, simply rotate as needed to get the best signal. It's also easy to hide the wires (unless on other devices) The cons: Running an auto-detect through the TV has actually deleted channels a couple of times, so I have to run again, and sometimes more than once. That said, the signals that I do get are strong and crisp. Conclusion: for the money, best value indoor antenna I could find. No complaints, and in fact I'll be buying a second for another TV.

I decided to get rid of cable since I have a streaming package but I still wanted to have the local channels. I bought this antenna because of the reviews. I paired it with my Fire Omni QLED and after I did a channel scan I have about 50 channels. I mainly just watch ABC, NBC and CBS though. I’ve had for about a month and so far no complaints. Also you can’t beat the price. As you can see in the picture I added, I use the stand and I have to the side of the tv.

    Cut the Cable

This is your first step to cutting the Cable! Plugged it in, ran the search for channels and it found a bunch of local channels as well as some cable channels we watch. With this and Internet there is no need to pay for cable or satellite. Just like the instructions say, the closer it’s set to a window the better the reception and not all the channels have perfect reception but I am OK with that. Most of the channels are at 720P not 1080 but still clear. I have the non powered version for the guest room and it works good too, but does have less channels than this one. Yes, I do recommend this antenna!!!

I bought this upgraded antenna to replace a $20 Moju that always disappointed in rainy or windy weather. I placed this Insignia upgrade on a high bookshelf pointing in the right direction of our local TV stations & instantly received great, HD programming with minimal interruptions in bad weather. And I saved $100/month by cutting the cable TV cord. Love that!!

AT&T cable lost the CBS contract for several weeks and I bought this antenna to watch local TV. I get 65 local channels very clear and will probably buy one or two more for other bedrooms in the house for when our cable goes out or we have visitors in our guest bedroom.
