The 30 pin plug was too thick to fit into the IPad, so it was returned.

The 30 pin plug meant for use with the retinal display iPad would not fit. It was too thick and would not make contact. The item was returned.

The plug side that goes into phone is very hard to connect unless you insert it in a slight angle.

Replacing an Apple cord that broke next to the plug - INEXCUSABLE, considering the cost!! The Insignia seems more durable.

Our original Apple cords wore out and broke right next to the part of plug. The "boxes" were still good; just needed new cords. Found these at Best Buy; they were just what the doctor ordered!

Two successive Apple iPad power cords have broken when the cable bent too often and too far at the attachment point where the plug mates with the device. The Best Buy rep told me this brand is sturdier and less expensive. So far, I have found both to be true.

Fits all my items. Must make sure it's connected/fit into the socked. I've left the item for recharge and plug wasn't inserted properly, and my phone or notepad wasn't charged. I make sure the item is charging before walking away.

A charging cord that does the job

A charging cable is a simple thing. Insignias cable for Apple products is somewhat sturdier than Apple's. The joints where the cable mates with the plugs, and the cable itself are stronger and thicker than Apple's. We have found over the years that these joints are a weak spot in Apple branded cables. What might be a drawback to some is the that the thicker cable is stiffer and resists being balled up to put in a pocket. This is no problem for us as we have a family recharging station in the kitchen that the cable never leaves.
