Don’t buy, this destroys phone batteries

I have an iPhone 6 in excellent condition. I bought this cord a couple of months ago to replace my original charger cord, since it was frayed by the head of the cord. It worked just fine for a couple of weeks but then I started having issue where my phone wouldn’t recognize it was plugged in. I would have to unplug and re-plug it several times for it to even be recognized by the device. By this time, I started to notice that my battery was draining faster and faster between charges. I figured it was the charger base because this cord was new so it shouldn’t be the problem. I tried changing out the charger base thinking it might be a faulty base but that didn’t help. I tried a friend’s apple charger base as well. No matter where I plug in this cord, my phone doesn’t charge or even recognize it’s plugged in. I also tried using a friend’s apple charging cord to see if it was just my phone’s charging port being faulty and it charged just fine. My phone recognized that cord immediately and didn’t give me any issues. Now my battery lasts 20 mins before reaching 40% on a full charge. I had to buy a replacement battery since this cord destroyed my phone’s original battery and now I’m stuck with a useless cord that won’t charge any of my apple devices. I ended up having to fish my old broken cord out of the garbage because that’s the only cord that will actually charge my phone now. It’s cheap and might work for a few weeks but buyer beware, unless you have extra cash to buy new phone batteries with.

    "not supported" accessory

While we all seem to think that the IEEE standard for lightning cables is consistent, it is not so much. I bought this "private label" version from BestBuy trusting that their buyers would have vetted this as being a "compatible" or "recognizable" cable for my iOS device. I use an iPhone 6sPlus all up to date. The cable seems to charge my phone "OK" (not as fast as I had hoped) which would be tolerable if I didn't get an annoying "this accessory may not be supported" error message, after which, it seems to disconnect. I have to unplug it and plug it back in. At $20 for a 3 foot cable, this is only five or six dollars less than the Apple version, and in this sense, it is NO bargain. If I could return it and swap for the Apple branded version, or a version that was "certified" Apple compatible, I would do so in an instant. This belies an attitude of the BestBuy buyers that even if customers like me buy this and have a bad experience, at twenty bucks, we won't take the time to bring it back. Actually a good bet. But a horrible brand experience, and erodes my trust in both BestBuy as a trusted partner, and in their house brands in general. Fail.

i have searched high and low for a good point and shoot that has a little more advanced group of settings. after playing with, buying and returning, and reading reviews of/for a handful of cameras i landed on this one. while my purchase was not hasty, i had become weary on my search and was running out of time to replace my broken camera before an international trip. the camera i actually wanted was the same brand and a similar, but different model, but i couldn't have it before i left, so i kind of settled here. the settings are great, the ease of use is fantastic and so far i have not had any issues with battery life. i have not been able to test the waterproofing beyond torrential rain thus far though. my biggest - i guess my only, so far - complaint is that while the pictures look fantastic on the camera, they lose a lot of quality when transferred to a computer. i had reviewed my photos on the camera on the plane ride home and thought i had some great printable ones. to my dismay, when i opened them on my computer i didn't have a single print-worthy photo; the clarity was reduced 5-fold and the light capture was much different. i am not an advanced photographer, but i travel a lot, so have a lot of practice. perhaps my issues are due to my shortcomings, but my husband, who is rather advanced in photography - both film and digital - tends to agree with my finding. overall, i would say this is a good scrap booking camera. a great step up from entry level, and is so far functional to my liking. perhaps, if you are similar minded, you may want to just spend a little more money on something a little higher end.

I have always purchased third party cables. Apple charges $15 for their cable which I don't think is built as well as many third party cables. I've had amazing luck with Anker and Amazon Basics, I have lightning cables from both brands that have lasted me the entire time I've had an iPhone (3+ years!). I am pretty careful with my cables not to bend or kink them, which is maybe part of it, but the Anker and Amazon Basics cables feel like they're good quality. This particular insignia cable feels like lower quality. The cable is obviously a higher guage (thinner wire) than the other two brands I mentioned, and the cable only lasted me 2 weeks before there was a short causing intermittent charging! Luckily, since it's Best Buy's house brand, they will exchange the cable for you in store within a year (you can see on the back of the box it says 1 year warranty - all you have to do is go into a best buy and they will pull up your receipt and exchange it for you on the spot!). That's the one redeeming factor, but I would still much rather have a higher quality cable.

This is a little cheaper in the actual Apple charger or charge and sync cord. However I like the length better because it’s 4 feet so it can reach from the plug to where ever I am sitting. But, I have had to replace it several times. So now I buy them in two packs. Or buy two of them so I have a spare one. I shouldn’t have to do that but with Best Buy’s 14 day return policy. I am off and out of luck. I think that the return policy on these types of items, it is not a TV or a computer, should be a little looser. These things should have a longer life than they actually do. And, I have had my phone checked and the base of the charger checked and there is nothing wrong with either one of them. This was suggested to me by Best Buy when I told him of the repeated problem. And that was their suggestion. It works very well and very fast when it is working. But like I said they do not last as long as I would like. But they are cheap enough.

I purchased this as a back-up charging cable. It stopped charging my phone after three days. I usually buy super cheap cables at night markets in Thailand, so I'm used to them not working after a short period of time. I was getting one from best buy so that I'd have a "dependable" one to use. You'd think you'd be getting a higher quality product for the higher price, but apparently not. I'll use it to bind books together so they won't shift around in my luggage on the return trip. Then, I'll at least be getting some use out of it. Perhaps there will be someone behind me who keeps kicking my seat. I can use the cable to bind his/her feet together. The cable should be long enough for that. I'll do what it takes to get my money's worth. Unfortunately, it won't be used for charging my phone.

I bought this cord for my iPhone after the Apple usb lightening cable broke. It did work for less than 3 months of everyday use. It did charge fully with no problems but after about 2 months or so it just wouldn't charge. I didn't always see the charging signal on the phone when it was charging. I tried switching electrical outlets to see if it made a difference, tried deleting apps, tried to power off the phone, reset the phone all the same regardless of what I did. The apple USB lightening cable lasts so much longer before it breaks and it actually charges it to the fullest.I do not recommend purchasing this product unless you want to buy one ever 2-3 months. From now on,I will only buy the Apple USB lightening cable. At least it lasts awhile before it breaks and it actually gets the job before it needs replacing.

So i selected this particular power cord for my phone because i needed a new one in my truck and my "happy birthday" 10% off coupon was about to expire. Initially I had grabbed the Apple branded cord but was a bit shocked when it rang up as $21.99, and my coupon wouldnt work. So I asked for some help to find a different cord that worked with my phone that wold also work with the coupon...needless to say, I picked up this cord, and it keeps me charged on the go in the truck. Only wish was they made one shorter than this 4' cord, but longer than the 6" cord (approximately 2'). The USB port is inside my center console, and the cord sticks out through the cord slot when im charging my phone...I have bluetooth in the truck and do not physically use my phone while driving, but if i stashed it in the console while it was charging, id end up forgetting it when i went somewhere out of the truck, LOL...

I had to purchase a new cable for my daughter's iPhone 7. I would have preferred to spend a few extra dollars and get the Insignia 6' cable. However, since I don't own/use an Apple products, I wasn't sure if the 6' cable would work. You see, the packaging for the Insignia 6' listed Apple products up to the iPhone 6, while the Insignia 4' packaging listed the iPhone 7. Because I live twenty miles from my Best Buy, I didn't want to purchase the wrong cable, and the associate I worked with at the store wasn't very helpful. Let me be clear, the CABLE works great. I would rate the cable as 5 stars. However, the experience of purchasing this cable removes one star. This was a rare time that I did not have a positive experience at a Best Buy.

This cord is better than the more expensive brands I have purchased. It is more durable and charges my phone better. I bought it for my iPhone and I suggested my boyfriend buy it for his android and it has been better than the other more expensive cords he bought which never stayed connected to his phone and kept falling out. I also like that they have different colors to choose from. I bought a 3 inch cord for my car and 6 inch for home charging. The 3 inch is the perfect length for my car. I have the 6 inch connected to an extension cord next to me bed, so maybe a 10 inch cord would be better if I didn't have the extension cord but I can plug in multiple devices in the extension cord so it works better for me.

What sold me on this purchase was that I was going to be receiving a whole foot on cable length, as opposed to the standard lightning cable sold by apple. It was amazing making lounging and using the phone while it charged great and more comfortable(everyone that uses the phone on the charger knows what I'm talking about.) This feeling was great for the cheaper price of other cables, what a steal right? Unfortunately not. If you do not purchase the black tie protection for an extra $5 you will begin to experience cable failure within a few weeks. I purchased a second to give it another chance. Again... Failure. The cord also begins to fray similarly to apple Lightning cords by the Lightning adapter side. Not worth the 14.99 unless you purchase black tie to keep replacing them every few weeks.

So, my eight year old loves his tablet, but is extremely hard on headphones. We've destroyed kid headphones, adult headphones, cheap headphones, spendy headphones... These went on sale, so we figured we'd try headphones without cables. BINGO. My son loves them, the sound quality is fine for his tablet uses and music sounded great to me, but I'm not a super audophile. The volume was good, the charge has lasted him a reasonable long day of road tripping, I have no complaints. These are basic, but some of the little things like the magnets that retain the earbuds inside the body of the headset while not in use are nice. I may score a pair of these for myself, but I just prefer over-the-ear phones to earbuds. Overall, I think these were right on the mark, and if they last - they were well worth the money.

Purchasing oem lightning cables is always a hit or miss prospect. These were offered as a 5-pack for $29.99 which is a great deal. The price made me suspect about the quality so I was surprised to see they were (MFi) certified. The cables have a quality feel to them and work with both Apple chargers and Oem chargers. The cable is bit stiffer than the original apple lightning cable but It's not overly stiff. The connectors appear to be quality and are not over sized like some other oem lightning cables I have seen. I am glad that I picked up the 5-pack as it gives me a few spares which always comes in handy with teenagers. If you need a replacement or extra MFi certified lightning cable this is a great option at the price.

I was setting up my new Canon Pixma TR-8520 “All in one printer” and the first disappointing feature is a bright light, like strobe light that will blind you if you look at it. It signifies the printer is on. The paper Intake drawer has a cheap, flimsy plastic flap that just sits on top of the paper intake drawer and is unsecured. The printer was on sale for $99 and the regular price was $199. I am dismayed that the printer is such a poorly constructed unit.

Right Length, But Didn't Fit Lifeproof Case

While Apple cables suffer from being too short (1m) or too long (2m) for many applications, this cable seemed like it would be just right for use in a car or night stand. It was right next to the Lifeproof case that was also purchased at the same time. As it turns out, that particular case, in trying to be waterproof only allows a narrow Lightning cable to pass through the hole for the connector. This cable didn't fit. Only Apple cables would fit, since their connector is the thinnest on the market. I would have preferred to keep this cable, but I had to return it to get the only brand that would work for the case, so now I have the too-long 2m Apple cable. If I had a different case or didn't have a case, I would have kept this cable.

After my original charger got burnt out from my car charger plug, I went and bought another original apple charger for my 5s. Unfortunately I'm a brand snob, so thinking it's made by apple and is freaking expensive it should work right ? Uhhh no. It lasted like two months and it went dead. Looking for a cheaper alternative I found this and it's reviews and just bit the bullet. Kind of hesitated since I've been told insignia is best buys proprietary brand but reviews were good and was way less then half the price of apples so whatevs . I'm so glad I found this. It charges my phone really well and it doesn't look like it's about to fall apart anytime soon. Save your money and just get this to charge ur phone. U won't regret it.

My fiance got this as a replacement cable, and it seems sturdier than the original OEM included with iPhone 5 purchase. It works great when connected to any USB outlet adapter OEM or other brand (we have a generic double USB port car charger, and single port plug-in Belkin, and Apple charger). Color is black as pictured, which is a minor change. Cord length is approximately 1in longer than standard OEM USB cable, but not long enough to cause worry over getting a short in the cable. Other than the "Insignia" logo stamped near the lightning adapter, the cable looks rather bland / generic, which could be useful when travelling (especially overseas). as thieves wouldn't necessarily know what type of device the cable belongs to.

When I plug this Apple lightening cord into my Apple iPhone 6+ at night, to charge up my iPhone overnight, I wake up in the morning and find my phone slightly less charged than it was when I plugged this charger cord into it the night before. So I re-plug it in again and wait 5 minutes to see if it is charging. Usually it is not charging yet, so I re-plug it in again ... and again ... until finally it shows, after 5 minutes, that it is starting to charge the phone. This cord is only several months old; the iPhone 6+ is several years old. Since the lightening cord worked faithfully for the first month I owned it, and then quickly degraded in performance, I blame the cord, not the iPhone 6+.

All major networks fox, abc, cbs, nbc, cw, and other local channels. Excellent picture/reception. that was all I wanted for this xtra bedroom was some good channels for guests staying with us to watch, Better then I expected- I am seriously thinking of cutting the cord completely and upgrading to a more multi directional amplified indoor outdoor antenna (after seeing the great reception I get with this simple one).to my main TVS!!!
