The remote like any other apple device deserves to be protected. There is no one on this plaent that can say they have bever dropped their tv remote. Im not calling it a delicate item but if you are like me that does not like to see electronics dented from human error this is a no brainer. Aside from the protection it offers it also gives you a good ergonomic grip from its design. The $10 price point makes this an inexpensive investment in the life of your apple tv remote.

I was concerned that the silicone cover would interfere with the circular spin on the controls but it doesn't, there's no additional drag. I think it's dumb that Apple makes a remote that needs this but they did and this fixes the sharp edges and makes the remote harder to lose from it slipping off down into some crevice.
