But I bought this specifically to use in a nightstand charging cradle, and since the cradle has a hole to fit Apple's charger, this Insignia charger is too big to fit. (See photo) Regardless, it's always nice to have a spare charger, and I got it on sale, so I'll be keeping it.

Was a little skeptical getting an Insignia charger vs. an actual Apple Watch charger but I'm glad I went with Insignia. It charges just the same and I was able to save some money at the same time. Works great and has been doing well for over a month now. No issues. I recommend this to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative that works just the same.

Generic Apple Watch charger that will charges.

This watch charger is not capable of fast charging as it’s not USB-C. USB-C is required for fast charge. I do like that this generic watch charger allows for me to charge my watch and my AirPods on the same charger.

In my opinion, this one actually charges my watch faster than my original Apple charger. The only thing to be aware of is that the actual charging surface that the watch sits on, is actually much bigger than the original charger so it won’t fit into any docking stations that you may have. Since this is my spare, that doesn’t bother me at all.

This works perfectly and charges without any issues. I sometimes use this charger along with a portable battery to charge the watch. Just keep in mind this charger is bigger than the original Apple charger so it won't fit it some watch holders.
