I have a skin and already bought the clear case. You just have to make it work. What I did was unhook the case into two parts and break/burn off the little circlular hinge. After that put the two parts back together and clamp the bottom and side. It should close and stay in.

feels more fragile than the steamdeck

I felt like the plastic was significantly more fragile than the steamdeck. it felt brittle and it squeaked. I also felt like i got someone's damaged return as I noticed one of the tabs was already damaged, like a small chip before I even opened it (it was barely locking in when i took it out of the bubble wrap). not worth it even if given for free.
