I bought this to use to play cd's in my home office. I was pleased with the sound for such a small and inexpensive unit. But I tend to play music at somewhat low volume and don't like a booming bass. Definitely not for someone who's more of an audiophile.

Bought this to replace a previous one that didn't have a CD player, and we love it! Keep this in our utility room to use, and the sound is wonderful. Love the fact we can take it anywhere we want and receive reception because sometimes service isn't the best on trips we make. Price was wonderful also.

Grabbed this in a pinch for my college first-year son when he realized on move-in Day that, without his car, he wasn't going to be able to play his CD collection anymore. Read online reviews of this one and the now expensive version with Bluetooth while standing in the aisle at our local Best Buy, and this one was clearly the higher quality product (just made sure he also had an aux cord in case he wanted to play music from his phone thru it too). Just asked him how it's working a month later, and the title of this review was his response. Space saving but with big sound!

For $29.00 this boom box is very good. The sound from the radio and cd player was ok considering the speaker size. Radio reception and ease of use of cd player was excellent. The build quality of this unit was a pleasant surprise. Well worth the money!

Its good. Cd works, and radio. It's a little complicated to program the preset station. After all set, its good.

Got this one for use in the sunroom. Looked at instructions to get it turned on. Really very simple. Plays well, sounds good. It’s a good value. I recommend it.

gave this insignia cd boombox to my mom. it small to sit on her kitchen table. easy to use. great sound. great price too.nice looking. she loves to hear her music.

Good little portable cd and radio. Speakers are not the best but still a good sound for the cost.

I purchased this CD player/Radio player in hopes of being able to get a decent radio signal as well playing my old CD's on it. I've got no complaints. I can listen to all of the local radio stations that enjoy (without interferring signals) as well as listening to my favorite CD's. Sound system is great too.

I was looking for a good little radio to play my old CDs on, which is not an easy thing to find these days. This radio was exactly what I was looking for. The sound coming out of it sounds great and it's very lightweight and portable. A great purchase and great value as well!

Our really good friend is in rehab due to his diabetes & he seems bored. His daughter brought him a rinky dink radio & it didn't even work. My husband brought our friend some musical CD's, but he had no way to play them or to listen to his Texas Rangers baseball team. We went to Best Buy & found just what he needed. A small simple boombox capable of being a radio & a CD player. The price was right, so we bought it & our friend just LOVES it!!!!!

It is small and does the job playing cds. Good job for the price. Plenty of volume or turn it down with the dial.

This boom box was actually for my elderly friend. Overall she like the small size as it was easy to carry from one room to another. The ability to place batteries was a plus which she didn't have to carry the cord around the house. The sound was great for her as she stays in a one bed room. She enjoy the display as it was bright and the print on the display was easy for her to read. The only thing that she said could have been better were the buttons they were a bit small and prove to be a slight challenge to use when changing the station or changing a song from her CD.

I got this for my elderly mother who needed a simple easy-to-understand CD player. The buttons are clearly marked, and it doesn't have a lot of extra features to confuse her. The sound was good - this is not a boombox for heavy bass, but it sounded clear and full to me. It is plastic, but doesn't seem too flimsy and the mechanical gear seems sturdy enough. A nice basic inexpensive CD player that she can understand.

Glad to find a trustworthy place that sells a boombox with a wire. CD player and radio work well. Pleased with this purchase!

Good product at a reasonable price. The radio works fine and it is easy to move from one station to another. The CD plays well with great clarity from the 2 built in speakers. I keep this on my bedside table and sometimes use it to play cds to help me fall asleep and stay asleep. This CD/Radio player is equipped with a timer which allows me to play the cd for a fixed time or throughout the night,

Had one previously and it worked fine…finally stopped working after a few years…decided to purchase another one….good sound, easy to use.

This was a gift for my 99 year old cousin who likes to hear music it was perfect just the right size and volume and easy for her to play it by herself

Used by my evening chair to listen to CDs and it performs nicely. Instructions are good; sound is very good (I mostly use headphones), size and appearance is good. A steal at the sale price I found it at. Difficult to find quality players like this anymore.
