I purchased the Insignia CD Boombox to give as a birthday gift last year. It has been a welcome addition to my friend's home as she can now listen to her CD collection. It works well and the music sounds great.

This Insignia boombox is just what I wanted. I searched many store websites looking for the best boombox for my needs, which is to have a small, AM/FM/CD boombox to play while I work from home. The AM and FM stations, and my CDs, all play clearly. What I like the most about this boombox over several others is that this one has an antenna that telescopes up and down for the FM stations which makes them much more clearer than without an antenna, and it also has a digital display to show what radio station it is tuned to. My old boombox had neither feature. I had a hard time turning the little wheel on my old boombox to try to find the radio stations that I wanted to listen to. The digital display on this new one leaves no guesswork. I will say that this boombox is perfect for playing indoors in a single room. I don't think customers would be happy with this boombox played outside in a wide open area. A larger unit would be better for playing outside. I have been using this boombox for about a month now and have no complaints at all. It is exactly what I was looking for and this unit cost significantly less than 2 others that did not have a telescoping antenna or digital display. What also helped me make my decision to buy this unit was the Insignia brand. Overall, I am very happy with this boombox. I recommend it to others based on the price and its features.

Wanted a simple cd player for our collection of cds. It was reasonable and has excellent sound. It is also a radio so it is even more useful. Easy to use and a fine buy.

Bought this to replace a previous one that didn't have a CD player, and we love it! Keep this in our utility room to use, and the sound is wonderful. Love the fact we can take it anywhere we want and receive reception because sometimes service isn't the best on trips we make. Price was wonderful also.

For $29.00 this boom box is very good. The sound from the radio and cd player was ok considering the speaker size. Radio reception and ease of use of cd player was excellent. The build quality of this unit was a pleasant surprise. Well worth the money!

This boombox has amazing sound! It’s great to listen to the am/fm radio and hear CDs! I am 100% happy with this product. The price was an excellent value as well.

I purchased this CD player/Radio player in hopes of being able to get a decent radio signal as well playing my old CD's on it. I've got no complaints. I can listen to all of the local radio stations that enjoy (without interferring signals) as well as listening to my favorite CD's. Sound system is great too.

Our really good friend is in rehab due to his diabetes & he seems bored. His daughter brought him a rinky dink radio & it didn't even work. My husband brought our friend some musical CD's, but he had no way to play them or to listen to his Texas Rangers baseball team. We went to Best Buy & found just what he needed. A small simple boombox capable of being a radio & a CD player. The price was right, so we bought it & our friend just LOVES it!!!!!

I was looking for a good little radio to play my old CDs on, which is not an easy thing to find these days. This radio was exactly what I was looking for. The sound coming out of it sounds great and it's very lightweight and portable. A great purchase and great value as well!

I got this for my elderly mother who needed a simple easy-to-understand CD player. The buttons are clearly marked, and it doesn't have a lot of extra features to confuse her. The sound was good - this is not a boombox for heavy bass, but it sounded clear and full to me. It is plastic, but doesn't seem too flimsy and the mechanical gear seems sturdy enough. A nice basic inexpensive CD player that she can understand.

This boom box was actually for my elderly friend. Overall she like the small size as it was easy to carry from one room to another. The ability to place batteries was a plus which she didn't have to carry the cord around the house. The sound was great for her as she stays in a one bed room. She enjoy the display as it was bright and the print on the display was easy for her to read. The only thing that she said could have been better were the buttons they were a bit small and prove to be a slight challenge to use when changing the station or changing a song from her CD.

It is small and does the job playing cds. Good job for the price. Plenty of volume or turn it down with the dial.

The boombox has been Godsend because of a move we are in the middle of. It’s been going from the garage to the basement to the kitchen. Honestly, we’re enjoying having the easy way we can bring it to where we are working and the sound is great quality.

Grabbed this in a pinch for my college first-year son when he realized on move-in Day that, without his car, he wasn't going to be able to play his CD collection anymore. Read online reviews of this one and the now expensive version with Bluetooth while standing in the aisle at our local Best Buy, and this one was clearly the higher quality product (just made sure he also had an aux cord in case he wanted to play music from his phone thru it too). Just asked him how it's working a month later, and the title of this review was his response. Space saving but with big sound!
