I bought this for my dad, when it was one of the Deals of the Day. When he tried to use it, it didn't work. I tried it, and it didn't work. Then, I tried pushing the power cord into the radio even more firmly...and it worked! So, while I feel it shouldn't be that difficult to make things work, it does work fine now! The sound isn't the greatest, but for the price, it is fine!

I purchased this as a gift for my son who absolutely lovesthis sleek little boombox. Great sound quality for any listener. Easy to use whether AM/FM or CD player. I would highly recommend this product.

My mom loves her music on the weekend while she cooks and cleans her kitchen. This is a good little boom box with Bluetooth to bring her into the 21st century and she can still play all her CDs.

I use this in the bedroom because I have insomnia. I listen to talking books, inspirational CDs, and music. Ihad previously bought a different CD player, which I could not find controls on. Best Buy graciously allowed me to return after 2 days. Salesperson helped to search for this one as it was not on the sales floor, just online available at my store. This one far exceeds my expectations. Great sound. Well placed and identifiable controls. I have used the "Aux In" jack a few times for talking books from the LIBRARY which are only available on mp3 players with headphones only jacks. Great idea, thanks for thinking aboit this use!

I saw in need of a replacement CD player for one that started fading in an out on the volume. After looking at the options I decide on this model. The Player works very well. The only thing I was disappointed in was it said it was Bluetooth capable and it is, but only to receive, not send out to external speakers as I was hoping.

I use this to either listen to talk radio or play favorite cd's while I sew or quilt. The sound quality is very good and I get great reception for the radio. Glad I bought this model after looking at a lot of choices.

Sounds great, perfect for the rv, great price, easy to operate

Bought this as my bathroom radio and CD player. My 15 year old Bose's CD player stopped working. So I bought this radio for the CD player. Of course compared to the Bose sound would be unfair. Like comparing a Honda Civic to a Corvette. Sound-wise the Insignia is tolerable. If the main purpose of using it is for the radio, (and you aren't used to listening to a Bose, aasznd especially if it's on sale, this is a fine radio. The construction is a mix between decent quality and cheap Chinese manufacturing. The CD door feels like it won't withstand frequent use and is a little tricky getting open, needing a push at the precise spot and a couple of tries. The volume knob, although it feels of better quality, is a little quirky to use. But it gets easier with use. Overall, on sale and with the expectation that you are getting what you pay for, the Insignia "boombox" is a decent purchase. As long as you don't use a literal interpretation of "boom".

If your looking to get a piece of tech with that modern & old school feel look no further. The sound quality is also quite impressive and the seemless switch from radio to Bluetooth makes things all the more simple.

For the price this is a good product. Easy to use,fairly good sound.
