We're treating this as just a singular problem and we returned it and ordered a new one. Hopefully the new one will continue to work well as it does provide good heat and is quiet. If the 2nd one continues to work well, it would rate 5 stars. But, considering the first one failed, I am giving an "average" rating.

The central shaft was warped and the thing would not rotate properly. Took it back and swapped it for another brand.

The osculating feature is convenient as well as having a remote. Like other reviews have stated....the end of the power cord gets very hot after the heater has been turned on for a while. I got this when it was 1/2 price on the deal of the day. Very worth the price. It is easy to store in the closet when not in use because its so tall & sleek.

Solid for 6 weeks, then it stopped working

I liked that the heater had functions for both a timer and a temperature to be set. When turned on high, the heater did a solid job of heating up a room. The only negative while the heater was working is how hot the cord would get when in use (uncomfortable to the touch). Flash forward to March 2016, I went to plug in the heater and it no longer worked. It is not the outlet, unfortunately, it is the device itself. Given the timing of the product no longer working, I cannot exchange it or return it. In all honesty, I would prefer to exchange for a working heater because it worked well when it was working.
