Uses propietary batteries that don't last long =(

For me, the weakest point of this accessory are the propietary batteries included for the controllers. They're sold with the charge station itself ONLY, and are completely customized for the side charger ports to work, using pogo pins to line up an electrical connection from the base. In my situation, my right side battery has either a) completely failed prematurely and doesn't hold a charge anymore after less than 1 month's usage of the unit, or b) no matter how many times I've re-set it, the pins and contacts do not properly line up and fail to charge the internal battery, even though I was receiving 2 blue "all done" lights whenever I had let it sit overnight to charge for use the following day. I've attempted multiple re-seatings of this battery, to no avail. To see this device dud out this quickly makes it a plastic paperweight for me, and I am truly disappointed.

I love how I can just put the headset down and start charging it immediately when I’m not using it anymore. The greatest part was that it also came with rechargeable batteries for the controllers. So no more swapping out batteries.

Good Charger for Meta Quest 3

The connections are solid and the LEDs ensure you have solid connections. The disposable AA batteries in the hand controllers are replaced with rechargeable batteries so you don't have to worry replacements.

Great Price for an alternative option

If you're looking for a good alternative to the expensive options offered diretly by Meta this would definitely be one of my go-to recommendations for an easy to set up charging station. Takes maybe 5 minutes in total to put the rechargeable batteries into the controls, slot the battery plates over them, and plug the dock in.
