    I have bought CR123 batteries on the cheap from online retailers and they can sometimes shut down a camera or make the entire system work improperly. Rechargable batteries that I have tried have the same problem. These do an adequate job of feeding the hungry Arlos at a price that is mildly better than the brands that are recommended. My main recommendation is to spend the extra money on an Arlo that doesn't take this style battery.

    I recently bought a pair of mini high-output flashlights that use this particular size of battery for my wife and myself. The flashlight at maximum output can really burn through the batteries. So far, the quality of these batteries are matching the name brands at a less expensive price point. What else could you ask for other than for your wife to understand that it doesn't need to be on max output all the time, lol.
