This mouse pad completed switched me over from cloth. Its a nice surface offering a smoother glide for my mouse and isnt uncomfortable on the arms. Its also water proof which has saved me a few times.

It's made from artificial leather, so if you don't like that then you may not like this.

Nice grip on the pad and for the mouse too and if you want less friction you can also turn it over with the black side on the bottom for a smoother glide.

I can cover a large area and move quickly from one area to another in a single sweep instead of several small motions and I can get more work done.

Soft enough be comfortable but thin and firm enough that I'm not scared of pens poking holes in the paper when I'm writing.
