Better than stock
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Better built than the OEM part. Easier to dock with less chance of scratching the screen. Bought it to use in the living room and never take it to the other dock. Comes with everything you need, for half the price of an extra OEM dock.

Works great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works exactly like the OEM Switch Dock! I use this all the time with no issues. It doesn't overcharge your Switch, so you don't have to worry about damage. I've had a few friends over and they've used it too with no issues. It only has one USB port, but you can use a hub or a splitter if you need more.

An awesome spare product to have!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can finally have easy access to my switch system in the living room. When guests come over I can move my switch system from dock to dock with ease. Happy I can play Just Dance in a larger room. It’s working without any flaws. I might buy another one for the spare bedroom!

A great efficient, compact, and cheaper option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long story short, it does basically the same thing as the official Switch dock, allowing you to output the game onto a TV via HDMI, and use USB for accessories. PROS: - Smaller and more travel-friendly than the official dock. - Unlike some other 3rd-party docks, it's perfectly safe and poses no risk of damaging your Switch. CONS: - Only one USB port, where the official dock has 3. You'll need a little USB hub or something to make up for it. - Despite the open design that leaves the Switch's screen visible while docked, this dock does NOT allow you to simply use it as a charging stand and play in tabletop mode by unplugging the HDMI or something. That last bit was ultimately why I returned mine and decided to stick with the official dock I already had. It's also why I docked one star from the review... the open screen-revealing design of the dock is a bit misleading, and Insignia should at least mention "Allows Play In TV Mode Only" somewhere on the packaging. But regardless of my nitpicks, this is still a very good dock, especially for only half the price of the official one. It's a great option if you just want a second dock for another room or a smaller one for travel. Despite it not fitting my needs in particular, I would still definitely recommend it. If you want a simple, lightweight, and cheap stand for tabletop mode, check out the little "Adjustable Charging Stand" that Best Buy sells for $20.

A Great and Affordable Portable Dock!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been looking for a portable dock solution since the launch of the Nintendo Switch. I had tried others, but they weren't great. This however is the most affordable and best performing portable dock on the market. It works extremely well with no issues, and it comfortably fits the Switch inside (as long as you don't have a case on it). The other great thing about this dock is that it comes with an AC Adapter and HDMI cable, so you don't have to get those separately and end up spending more. Only downside is that it only has 1 USB slot instead of 3 like the Nintendo dock, but since it's so much smaller that makes sense. For context, I had originally used the Nyko dock, but after reports of multiple failures and how it could brick your Switch, I decided to get rid of it in fear of the Nyko Dock doing that to my Switch. It was't exactly a great device either, as the Switch couldn't wake up from sleep mode while docked in the Nyko Dock, and sometimes the image would cut out for a second. I've had none of these issues with the Insignia Dock, and it works just like the original, but it's smaller and easier to travel with.

Great alternative to the Nintendo branded one
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great alternative to the Nintendo branded dock and mainly because it is HALF the price, at least when I got it. The dock feels sturdy, but you have to hold it when pulling off the switch. It doesn't scuff the screen. The low profile is nice for sitting in front of a TV etc. No issues with using it for about a year.

Works great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a solid kit. Comes with USB-C power adapter and HDMI cable. The dock itself has some heft to it and is great for travel or if you want to dock your switch in a second location. It also doesn’t have anything in front of the screen, so you do t have to worry about scratches!

Looks Great and Works Great
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this as a second dock for the house (original in the living room, this in the bedroom), and I could not be happier with it. It is a very clean design that is almost unnoticeable on the entertainment system in my room, the low front lip prevents any fear I have of scratching the screen like the OEM dock, and the ports in the back go straight back, making cable management easier than the Nintendo dock. I have had zero issues with it as far as functionality as it works exactly as is advertised. I also like that is solid, a little heavier than the original dock, giving it a more stable feel, and the almost rubbery texture of it gives a more premium feel than the Nintendo dock. TL;DR: Looks great, works great. Save a little money and buy this instead of a new Nintendo dock.

Gets the job done.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It might not be an official Nintendo dock but it still does what it’s intended for. I say its price is decent as well. It’s compatible with the Nintendo Switch and it basically does what the original dock was meant for plus it’s smaller & easy to plug and play so yeah it’s worth it.

Great alternative!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my second TV since it gets a little annoying to move the whole dock and all the wires when I want to play in a different room. It works great and I haven't noticed any difference compared to the original dock. This is MUCH slimmer, which is nice. It has a spot for a USB to plug in for charging too, which is very convenient (I'll admit I wasn't really planning on needing this feature, but it came in handy). No complaints as of now!

A must have for Switch owners
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ever since I got my Switch on release date I wanted a second dock for one of my many TVs around the home. I did not want to shell out the money for the additional Nintendo. After reading about the issues with the other third party offerings I purchased this unit. The dock is perfect, easy set up and it comes with all the cords and cables. This is smaller than the Nintendo dock and will travel well. I was ill and played 10 straight hours of Mario with my Switched docked and experienced no overheating issues.

Great for Quickly Moving to a 2nd TV
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this dock because I wanted to be able to switch between my 2 TVs quickly and didn't want to spend the almost $100 on Nintendo's dock. I think I actually like the way this dock holds the Switch better than Nintendo's. I'm always concerned I'm going to scratch up the screen slotting into the official dock, so having this one be open makes me feel a lot better and it holds the Switch very securely. The smaller size makes it easier to travel with too. My only minor gripe is this dock doesn't seem to support HDMI-CEC, where the official dock would turn a compatible TV on and switch it to the right input; it's far from a dealbreaker though. I would recommend this in a heartbeat over Nintendo's dock if you need an extra one.

It definitely does what I wanted it to do.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't see any difference between this and the first party dock. I actually prefer this one because it's not pressing against the screen of the switch. It has a low profile so it sits on my desk and doesn't take up too much space. It nestles the switch so it doesn't fall face first. I have no complaints especially since I only paid $30 while it was on sale. PERFECT for travel or that second location in the house.

Excellent check secondary dock
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the notoriety some unofficial Nintendo Switch docks are getting, such as the Nyko "killing" issue, it's been a nervous time for accessory buyers. I purchased this one with the hope Best Buy would back up their Insignia brand. This dock contains the same basic chip as many other unofficial docks - the CF001 V1.1 (some docks also use the CF003) - along with a Parade PS176 DP-to-HDMI conversion chip, the same used in the Samsung DeX. Its power adapter is rated at a higher 3A at 5 & 9V in comparison to the official. The unit is balanced through the addition of a metal plate inside of the unit. The docking mechanism is not spring-loaded so it does require a bit more force going in and out. I lightly covered the front guide rails to prevent the scratching of my tempered glass cover, but in generally these were only leaving smudges and not scratches. There is some venting out the back - sufficient for keeping the Switch cool in most circumstances. Those worried about potential "bricking" issues should disable the "match TV power state" HDMI-CEC option on their Switch with unofficial docks, although I haven't had any issues with this one yet. The price is rather good for what you get, making this a good choice for a secondary or even portable dock depending on your needs.

Great Dock
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.exactly as advertised, easy set up and does what its supposed to do. Since it doesn't have the high walls of the factory dock it's way better for entertainment center set ups since you don't have to constantly tilt ad move it around to dock for TV play. Would've gave it 5 stars but the USB connection is on the back of the dock which is a slight inconvenience. Other than that solid product for a great price

Great dock
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is great. I would definitely recommend this dock over the original that comes with the Switch. It’s compact and can easily be moved from room to room. Also, it’s very easy to dock and undock the Switch. It’s much more affordable than buying a second dock from Nintendo. And if you have Best Buy reward points, even better!
