This is one of those items where you're just thankful there is a BestBuy close to the job site. Just make sure the pin-out matches your video output on the DVi end and it will convert your signal to analog. If you need it, however, nothing else will work! Like all BestBuy products, it's packaged well and priced competitively! Just get it.

I have an older computer that needed this very adapter to connect a newer monitor. And just when I had almost given up all hope, against all odds, Best Buy had the exact item that I needed just to make my archaic setup work. I am happy, my children are happy, and most of all, the dog is just ecstatic that this ordeal finally over.

My problem isn’t too much with the product other than the fact that the screws are lodged in too tight and hard to screw in, there are tons of different DVI’s so just make sure it’s the right one

Just needed a way to connect an older monitor to a computer that I have. With a proper cord plugged into the adapter and the other end into the computer it works great... I couldn't have connected it without it .

Didn't realize an adapter like this existed....it does and it was the exact item we needed to complete our project.

Purchased this for my son, couldn't find it anywhere but at Best Buy. The price was good and it was exactly what he needed. Was glad I could buy it in the store & not have to order it on line and wait for it to come in the mail.

I bough a similar item from a large online retailer and it didn't work. I picked this up in the store and it worked fine. It is a simple item, but it helps being able to take it back to a store if something goes wrong.

I recently upgraded my computer which uses DVI (white), however my monitor still uses VGA (blue). Rather than swapping my graphisc card with the right connector or my monitor. I decided to just buy this and keep to keep both as is.

This adapter is a very simple solution to the problem of having a fully functional computer monitor which is VGA and buying a new computer which is DVI (digital output). It never occurred to me that my monitor wouldn't work with my new computer, but a little research showed several solutions of which this adapter was the simplest and one of the cheapest. It works perfectly and was easy to "set up" (plug it in between the monitor cable and the computer), so there was no need for anything more expensive..

I needed a converter for my old monitor with a new graphics card but I ended up upgrading to a better monitor from Best Buy. This did the job to convert my VGA to DVI. Always run games on DVI, it’s the best

So, I hate that we need these. However, since I do need it I cannot complain about how well it works at the slightest. Works great, attaches easily, and is simple to use.

I had an issue that required me to connect a back office computer to a new monitor but the connections were significantly different. Thanks to this handy adapter I was able to accomplish my task!

This was part of what I needed to connect my tablet to a larger monitor and thus try to preserve my eyesight -- it did the job. I'm glad Best Buy had it in stock; often small adapters like these are hard to find.

The adapter works without issue converting from VGA to DVI, but the plastic on the DVI end is wider than necessary. I had to trim off excess on both sides to make it fit on the PC that it was purchased for.

I needed this difficult to locate adapter and was able to find it at my local Best Buy. It worked perfectly and came at a very reasonable price!

Let's get this straight- PLEASE make sure that you have a DVI-A port. There are 3 main DVI ports. DVI-D, DVI-I, and DVI-A. DVI-D has the most pins, and no pins around the strip on the left. DVI-I has pins except down the midde, and has no pins around the strip. DVI-A looks like DVI-I but there are 4 pins around the strip. This is for the latter. Check if there are 4 pins around your strip or it won't work. Anyways...DVI-I and DVI-D both work for digital signals, and DVI-A works only for itself. Anyways, this worked well. DVI-A to VGA, had a leftover VGA cable, and my monitor worked well. No tearing or flickers so far.
