Does the job

They said it had to be installed in a wall stud - impossible in my case. There were no directions on how to mount it to a hollow wall between the studs which was essential in my case. I had a very lightweight TV to hang, just 24", and I know that I could use toggles, which I did. The template was fine, but there was no need at all for the huge lag screws provided. They should explain that if no solid wall stud is available, you can use sturdy toggles, but not cheap plastic wall anchors.
