I bought 2 and used one on a 90lb 55" TV and a 36" 60lb TV. Both fit the TV's easily. I recommend using the provided spacers so you have room for the plug/ HD. My only negative comment is that some wall studs might be spaced out too far to mount the bracket. The unit comes with a cardboard measuring template though so you can easily make sure it fits before you do any heavy lifting or drilling.
