Granted, the software/hardware that makes the unit up isn't the creme of the crop, but it serves all of his needs and pairs great with one of the very affordable, $25 Insignia 10" one-fits-most cases that can be found fairly close to the Insignia tablet collection. I have every imaginable tablet.. iPad, Air, Samsung Pro (my Fav) and assorted others. When I saw this one I thought it might make a nice gift for a friend.. Of course I had to check it out first. I was amazed at the quality of this tablet. metal case, bright screen, Lollipop 5.0! this does it all fast and easy. I just cant see why anyone would spend more. It just technology and in 2 years something better will come out and you will have saved $$100's .

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was recently was at Best Buy purchasing other products and happened to see this tablet on sale. I was amazed at the price and at the features that the tablet offered including 32 gigabytes of internal memory which is difficult to find on many other tablets. The battery life, if you set the screen and other features for maximum savings offers a generous 8 to 9 hours on a full charge. The only downside that I can see is I wish that it had additional USB ports to connect devices such as keyboards cameras and such without sacrificing the available port to charge the battery. The only other feature that I would like to see would be the ability to change out the battery so that you can have one fully charged all the time. Plus when the battery has reached its maximum life you seem to have no other choice but to purchase a new tablet. You really can't be the price on this tablet especially with all of the features that it offers. I highly recommend buying a secure digital external card to store pictures, music, and documents. I would recommend this without hesitation to friends, family, and colleagues.

Drawbacks are that it's response time is a little slower than I'm used to and it seems to occasionally struggle to stay connected to Wifi, I've never had an issue with any other Wifi device.
