Replacement Tablet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely LOVE this tablet. I was a replacement, and after reading the reviews on the other tablets within my budget, this one was the best fit for me to try. I love that it comes with a protective cover over the screen. It's NOT a Zagg Shield screen cover, but it serves the same purpose. I've had my tablet for nearly 6 months now, and I haven't removed it and there are NO scratches on my screen. Beside the preinstalled screen cover, I love that I'm able to hook this tablet to any TV in my home via the micro HDMI port. It's a simple plug-n-play process that even a beginner could figure out in no time. The screen resolution isn't retinae, but it does me well. I'm one of those people that don't need all that HD that I can count a person's nose hairs (LOL). Another feature that I love is that it comes with the option to disable those pesky, intrusive and annoying "App Permissions". I've DENIED those permissions on all the apps that I have installed. This unit comes with 32GB, so that's more than plenty of storage space. Plus, I've added a 16GB micro SD card for the apps that can be moved. Bottom line, I'd recommend this table to anyone.

High features for a low price on sale
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife wanted a tablet with at least a 10" screen for checking email and web searching. This was the best balance of features and price. We have had it for 2 weeks and it is working great. It took some trial and error to figure out all the functions, but nothing the average user can't handle.

Great tablet!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tablet to replace a Samsung one that just didn't have enough space for me anymore. Love the size and the 32 gb memory. Great for Netflix.

An Excellent Budget Computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of audio, visual, and processing speed is good for a budget computer . An excellent buy compared to other budget computers. It is difficult to find a budget computer with 32 GB of internal memory. This tablet will work with underlining in e-publication apps for those who are purchasing for study purposes. One draw back was I could not open zip files in the file manager folder, so I had to download a free app to extract audio files in a zip format.

You get what you pay for, and that ain't bad.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for a rough, tough workhorse of a tablet you may wanna keep looking. However, if you're a reasonably responsible adult who takes care of your stuff, this can be a great value. It seems that when Insignia spec'd this out to their manufacturer, they put their resources into the tech (comparable to units 2-3x the price) and not so much into the actual build. The tablet has an overall cheap feel compared to some name-brand competitors and the screen is very prone to minor scratches no matter how careful you are, but I'll take processing power over durability any day. Unexpected pro: Built-in FM radio! Unexpected con: No built-in FM antenna! The only way to use the radio is with headphones plugged in to the headphone jack. I guess the designers never heard of BLUETOOTH headphones/speakers! You'd think a simple wire placed around the inside perimeter of the case wouldn't be too much to ask...

Good for basic usage but low on memory & CPU power
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tablet has a large 10" screen and the price is fair. The issues I have is it uses a older and slower CPU/GPU. It also only has 1Gb of ram. So for general e-mail or web surfing its ok. But if you do anything that requires some power like playing games it will slow down and lag badly.

Good tablet but GPS sensor sensitivity is poor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tested my tablet intensively for a month with different apps and I agree with most of the users that it is a good product for the money. What disappointed me is the GPS sensor sensitivity. When you take tablet outside or turn it on, it takes about 5 minutes before it connects with satellites and start functioning. I tried all recommended on Internet methods to speed it up, but in vain because it's a hardware issue. I researched the problem by installing GPS testing app on this device and on more expensive 8" Samsung tablet (which GPS always starts to guide you immediately, w/o any delay). I found that Insignia GPS sensor is several times less sensitive than Samsung's one. Inside the house it sees no satellites at all while Samsung sees 10 or more pretty strong signals. On the street GPS signal is also MUCH weaker. But eventually it catches up and start working. GPS signal is still weak though and some apps indicate you this - i.e. large green circle on Here maps (no circle at all on Samsung, same app), so depends on conditions and location GPS signal can be lost.

Excellent Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for an inexpensive tablet to use around the house for occasional gaming/web searching/email because my previous TF101 ASUS tablet had finally bitten the dust after five or six years. My first purchase was of an RCA Viking tablet, which worked well but had horrible battery life. I tried this one and it meets all my needs. Battery life is good (haven't had the low battery warning yet - and I've used at one time for about 4-5 hours continuously). Speed of the unit is as expected. Resolution is decent, and as expected. Touch sensitivity is a bit lower than I would like, but it works after you get used to it - and that may be somewhat impacted by the screen protector that comes pre-installed. For the first couple days I had trouble with wi-fi dropping out, until I realized the unit was actually picking up my neighbor's signal instead of mine (maybe it connected to theirs before I entered the log-in password for mine, and then it assumed it was the primary); since then it's been flawless. I would absolutely recommend at it's price point as long as you are aware this isn't a top-end machine.

Good price for size and general use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tablet has a large screen for watching videos and good for reading ebooks. This is an Android tablet but the OS is not exactly up to par with the newer Samsung tablets. The response is sluggish and I'd like the buttons to have been placed elsewhere since my tablet case covers them up slightly. It's good for general game and application use and not for high power apps. I use this tablet partially as a planner, ebook reader, and light gaming. This would be good for kids as it seems durable and has all the applications offered on Android's Google Play.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these tablets for my daughter and my niece and nephew. They are very easy to use. The settings are easy to find. I like the way the tablet can be accessed with WIFI. The kids love that they can watch videos and play and download unlimited games. I wold recommend this to anyone that wants to learn how to use one. It has a lot of memory 32GB.

Works but not well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screen looks good. Heavy, not ergonomic. But for under 100, acceptable. Sound is horrible. Haven't yet tried using headphones or HDMI output. Maybe those are OK. Very very slow with browsers, worse than my Samsung Galaxy 2 phone!!!! It's functional but frustratingly slow to load pages. I wouldn't buy it again, life's too short. I got this to replace a Nexus 7 that died at 24 months, like all the other Nexus 7s, so I refused to buy another Asus mfg'd tablet. Based on galaxy2 experience, I've bot about 10 used ones for family members, I recommend Samsung products, recently got new Samsung tablet for sister, it works great. This is bottom of line, although huge screen for the price, it's too bad they cheaped out on sound and wifi input processor, which we've come to take for granted in these products.

Value priced
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gift for my son for Christmas. Loves it. Great price for size of tablet and memory. Previous tablet had limited memory and kept running out of room for new apps/games.

Perfect for my application
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm using this as a dashboard for my smarthome system, so I really didn't need super speed or awesome graphics. What I did need was low cost, solid build and a large screen that looked good. This tablet delivered on all of those criteria. I don't know if I'd suggest it as a primary tablet for power users, but for casual use or a budget tablet for kids or adults who just need something to browse the web this would be a great solution.

Was good at first
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this tablet for a Christmas gift for my mom. She is loving it except for a few things which are unfortunately not good. First of all there are a lot of dead pixels on and around the on screen buttons. I've seen like one or two on stuff before but there's at least a dozen. She also complains that when playing games it either doesn't respond or the screen messes up. For example on bubble witch it either won't let her switch balls or when she does it will shoot a ball prematurely. She didn't have this issue on her phone which is less than 5 inches. So hopefully it doesn't progress cause I don't think I can return or exchange it :/

Touchscreen did not work properly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very excited to get my new tablet and at such a great price!!! Well you get what you pay for. From the moment I took it out of the box the touchscreen did not work well at all. I played around with it for a couple of hours to see what I might be able to do. Tried different apps, games, web pages, even the basic set up screens I kept finding myself constantly turning the tablet around to see where it would actually accept me touching the screen. Even the home button. I would hit that..nothing...flip the tablet around and then it would accept me hitting the home button. I wasn't about to have a tablet where I would have to constantly do this and it some cases not matter how I flipped it stuff would not work. I have since returned the tablet, spent an extra $50 and got a Samsung Galaxy tab E and am extremely happy with that.. I would encourage you to spend the extra money and get a good reliable one.

good value for 10" android tablet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i just bought one for my 8 yrs old boy. it works well with so far. Really great price for the features. The only thing I wished this tablet has is the display of images. It does not matter how you change camera setting. It looks horrible.
