We've had this tablet less than a month and the touch screen has already stopped working! We can't get in contact with anyone by email or can't go back to the store because we just recently PCS'd to Germany. We've also tried all the troubleshooting options they have for tablets and still nothing! So, we're basically out of $150! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I bought this Insignia for my dad as a Xmas present to teach him some technology. However, it was taking 5-10 seconds for an app to respond after clicking it, and was VERY frustrating. The display is also not very impressive. So, I returned it, spent an extra $30 and got a different brand which I am happy with now.

Absolutely love this tablet. Have had it for a week now. It's great for streaming and has awesome battery life. Love that it has a micro hdmi port

I've had my Insignia for about a month now and a couple things stand out. Yes it was cheap so maybe I shouldn't be so critical but here goes. 1) the glass is NOT gorilla glass and it will scratch..easily 2) As far as I can tell the android OS CANNOT be upgraded past 5. I have searched and searched and found no information and no way to upgrade. 3) Boot up is quite long. Longer than I think it should be for a tablet. Other than that the tablet does what I want it to do. Surf, social media, read magazines and books.

I paid about $100 after certs, and it's just trash. The touch screen along the bottom row (opposite the camera) does not work 99% of the time, meaning I can't press the home or back buttons unless I flip the device 180 degrees, or into portrait mode, but the bottom row STILL doesn't respond on that part of the screen. I have had it respond to my touch once (along the bottom row opposite the camera). Frequently I'll have the screen open, and either watching netflix, or reading something in chrome, or whatever. I am not touching it at this point, and It doesn't matter what I'm doing, it will start acting as if I'm touching it and expanding and zooming in and pressing buttons and all this other stuff like it's possessed. I have to lock the screen to get it to temporarily stop. However, it'll just happen again later. On top of that, the device itself is extremely laggy. I've had a Note 3 for years now, and it's never done any of this. Granted, that one is a $900 item when it came out, but that device performs better than this new device, even years later. Also the build quality is extremely poor, and feels like a light breeze could snap it in half. I'm getting a different tablet.

love this tablet, i check emails & play games, its fast & efficient

I was a little concerned about buying a very inexpensive laptop for a child but it worked out OK and they like it. Replaced an iPad 1.

This tablet is horrible. 1 slip & the whole thing is out of commission. The screen doesn't shatter the whole display is gone. Stay away. I had to use my warranty several times. One of them the screen just stopped working you couldn't touch anything on it.

Good for the price, sound is not that great otherwise works good for internet

We bought this tablet because the ad states ear buds are included as well as an antivirus program, we got home and when opening the package we saw that neither item was included. It's earphones so we didn't go back to the store since we had to wait for about 10 minutes for someone to even find one after checking to see if it was in stock.

Has been a good control panel for our home automation.

I bought this tablet for my 2 year old grandson to play games and watch movies, so far I am very pleased with it, it works great, I haven't had any problems with it so far, had it for few months now, yes its a little slow but for the price its not bad.

bought this tablet Nov. 22,2015. It shut off in the middle of a game on Dec. 23, 2015. It will not charge and will not turn on. This tablet is not worth the price if it only lasts 1 month!!!

Has HDMI output and has real time GPS. Very easy to set up and locate GPS sats.

excellent for price it is considered a big tablet with a good ram and good procesor it is very good for kids like its first tablet

Right away out the box you can tell it was a cheap tablet, even the wall charger look cheap... Ive bought cheap items but this kind of product is flee market material. Stay away

Bought this for my son so that he would leave my laptop alone. Setup took about 5 minutes, and he hasn't put down since!

Item is nice out of the box, but don't be surprised if it fails in the first couple of months. Purchased this for my son, who wanted to replace an Acer tablet he had for 3 years. The Acer was smaller and only had 16Gb of storage. He used his birthday money for it, and it worked great for a few weeks. Then, while sitting on a couch with a friend, playing a game, the screen appeared to crack in a 'V' shape. I was sitting next to him, and know for a fact it was not dropped or abused. Unfortunately, Best Buy has only a 30 day return policy. The Insignia brand is owned by Best Buy, so they tell you to return to a Best Buy store. Best Buy won't allow a return because the device appears damaged. I can absolutely confirm that the tablet was never dropped or mishandled in any way. It has been in a protective case since day 1. I will never purchase Insignia products again. I will also re-think all purchases from Best Buy in the future (I also purchase the tablets/laptops and other electronics for the company I work for), if they are going to sell 2nd rate merchandise. BUYER BEWARE!

I've had 3 tablets. First was Toshiba Excite 10 which was very good. I unfortunately can't remember the second but it wasn't that good & NOW, there's this piece of garbage. I've had to exchange it TWICE!! Once because the tablet froze to the point that I couldn't even turn it off. The second one was so slow & lagged so much right out of the box. This one was ok til the software update. Now, it takes FOREVER to boot up. My games freeze & so do web pages. I've had my web browser just close on me & I've had the tablet just shut down & restart (which is ironic seeing as there's NO restart or airplane mode). I have to check my receipt but, I'm sure it hasn't been a year yet (thankfully, I have the accidental damage protection plan as well). I'm gonna to return/exchange this & get the Acer tablet which is pretty much EXACTLY the same specs wise & only $20 more.
